Golden Donuts

I’m convinced that Golden Donut is the only place in town, & beyond, to get an AUTHENTIC Apple Fritter! Moved back here after nationwide travels; we were stunned to see how even Dunkin’ Donuts’ fritter, first by sight, lacked the so important shape- now is nothing more than a round-raised cinnamon bun with one or two microscopic pieces of Apple & Virtually no cinnamon flavor. Then, over time we tried several other donut shops/bakeries just to find the same. Should have known that Golden Donuts would still have their same authentic recipe! Oh so scrumptious!! Definitely worth the ride across town for those fritters along with their other signature donuts! Had forgotten about this little gem-of-a-shop in Columbus being here, and of course, their staff like, Angela, & the others give the same outstanding customer service! 😊

Fast service, friendly staff. Fresh hot donuts. Great prices. Decent variety to chose from. Great spot to eat in with friends and family or if just passing by for a quick snack. Local hidden gem.

Best donuts in the Columbus. Golden is a mom-and-pop operation that's been around for as long as I can remember (25+ years). They're not the fanciest donut shop: if you're looking for a gourmet gooseberry-filled pastry or a Cronut then you're not in the right spot. They have a more traditional selection, but they do what they do very well. Golden's seems a bit larger and fluffier than the chain stores' donuts. The vanilla-iced donut with peanuts is one of my favorites, but you can't beat a dozen of their regular glazed either.

Krispy Kreme is great.... But there is something about deese nuts. Put one in your mouth and you'll understand.
