Good Shepherd Catholic School

Good Shepherd is an amazing school!! I grew up going to a private school, my husband went to public schools. We toured 2 public schools before we looked at Good Shepherd, both appeared to be really good. We are a one income family and were worried about the cost associated with sending our children to a private school. Once we toured Good Shepherd, we just knew that is where we belonged. We will have our third child entering Good Shepherd next year and have never once questioned or second guessed our decision to join this school! Good Shepherd is a very strong, caring, family community. A place where I know without a doubt that my kids are in wonderful hands. We couldn't be any happier with the level of education our children are receiving, the faith formation and the positive and supportive social atmosphere!

We could not imagine a better school for our daughter - and she agrees! The warm, personalized welcome and the feeling you are among friends and family is inescapable each time you walk into the building. The classrooms are integrated with the latest educational technologies that are seamlessly integrated into the curriculum. From the multiple family activities that are available throughout the year to the fantastic extracurricular opportunities - sports, scouting, band, chess club and summer care programs - the school is filled with teachers that care about the children. With each passing year, we remain pleased with our choice and the knowledge that our daughter is getting a wonderful education.

We have 2 children going to school here and have been very impressed with the faculty and staff at Good Shepherd. When my children transferred to the school, all their nervousness was alleviated on the first day. They came home happy and excited to begin their schooling here. Their teachers went out of their way to make sure they felt welcomed and included, and my daughter kept repeating, "Everyone is so NICE here, mama!" 3 years later, we are just as impressed with the level of education and ethics instilled in the students as well as with the staff's genuine care and concern for the kids. We were a bit skeptical when others raved about how our kids would love it here but after 3 years at Good Shepherd, we can confirm without reservation that this is truly a special place.

Our first year at Good Shepherd was in 2010 and we now have all 4 children attending Good Shepherd. We couldn't be happier with our experience and the education that our kids are receiving. I think my favorite part of Good Shepherd is the school community. My husband and I both grew up in small towns and we were looking for a community atmosphere and Good Shepherd is exactly that. We've had such wonderful experiences with other parents, the teachers and always feel welcomed. Good Shepherd is such a gem in the Twin Cities!

Good Shepherd is near and dear to our family's hearts! Good Shepherd has been a part of my life since the early '80s when I started attending there. Now 30+ years later, I have 2 graduates of Good Shepherd as well as a student still enrolled. We love the teachers and staff. Our children have received a top notch education and were readily prepared for junior and senior high! We love the caring, family atmosphere that is felt every time we walk in the building. Highly recommended for anyone looking for Catholic Education in Golden Valley and the surrounding areas.
