Wow! What an experience! They sell by the lb. And you only have one hour to shop. They send out while they restock. Found a beautiful mirror for les than 5 dollars and lots of items. Paid $32! I will be back!
Everything broken in huge bins you can’t reach down into. My husband is Master Blackbelt in Lean 6 Sigma and so we discussed how their system can be improved. They need help in organizing their methodology once product gets to this point. Their system turns things to garbage by this point. So much unnecessary waste. You can even utilize your customers to organize. Frustrating.
After showing up at 7:35 am and being 4th in line, we were basically yelled at by an angry and bitter woman who works there that they do security checks between 7 and 7:30 am which is where you get a number which will be called for entry. Which she could have told us nicely. We got pushed to the back of the line, even behind people who randomly showed up who didn’t get checked in with security, and had to wait for 3 hours just to get in. We’ve come here once before at like closing time and it was fine, just the workers are so bitter in the morning. Essentially, it’s better to get here late in the morning than to show up early if you aren’t before the security check which they don’t seem to mention anywhere. 1 star rating is purely about the workers and their system, long story short, they need new workers.
I would like to share my experience at the Goodwill outlet. First of all I met a beautiful young lady in line. Her name was Liz and she just so happen to work there and was able to show me how to properly shop in the Goodwill outlet. I would like to share my experience at the Goodwill outlet. First of all I met a beautiful young lady in line. Her name was Liz and she just so happened to work there and was able to show me how to properly shop in the Goodwill outlet. I think Miss Liz did a wonderful job at introducing me to how the goodwill outlets work Her boss or manager is also a very special person. Thank you for the great time that I had at the outlet. I will be coming back soon….
This was my very first time shopping at a Goodwill clearance bin. Today, the price was $1.74/lb of clothing. I didn't really know what to expect. I only heard about this place from my daughter who loves thrifting. I'm glad we got to this while we're here in Phoenix AZ. We don't have a clearance bin in the state where we live in-Hawaii. If you're like me and never been to a clearance bin, please do some research on YouTube. Look for tips and tricks and what to expect. As for me, today I felt unprepared because I've never heard of a Goodwill clearance bin before. And now that I've experienced it a bit, I'm going next time more prepared. Like wear comfortable shoe, gloves and a face mask . It was dusty in there. I felt that many of the other shoppers in there with us today were pros. They dug in the bins fast looking for the golden egg and wanting to be the first one to get it! Many had shopping carts overflowing with clothing. Me, on the other hand, was looking at each item one at a time and felt like a self-conscious newbie. I really wasn't sure what I was looking for in the first place. Eventually, I found a pair of jeans, two shorts, and a shirt for my younger son. My daughters also newbies found some good deals too. I would definitely come back and shop there again! Thank you to the workers- They were so helpful and friendly!
Love this place to shop for clothes. The clothes, sweaters, pants, shirts I get give that streetwear, vintage vibe if you like that style. I love the cheap pricing, I could get like 20 shirts and a couple pants for only about 10 dollars! Only thing I hate is the waiting, rotating, getting in, and only having an hour to shop then waiting an hour for rotation to shop again.
Long post warning. The hours listed are from 8am to 6pm. Now I am here on a Sunday and there is a rotation schedule. On their site this started on the 19th. They do not have any signs up for customers to know that. People have been sitting here for 30 minutes. Not a single person has came out to say something about the new procedure. They also have not come out to say that you have to register! I found that on the site while I have been in this line. There are dozens of people here who probably won't even get in right now and do not even know it. That is poor customer service and dangerous for customers because it is extremely hot out here. This is my first time here and I probably won't return.
Waited in line, sun was hot. 11-12pm. I left. I went to eat. Try again next time.
This is SUCH A BAD SYSTEM!!! Every hour they require all customer to wait 45 minutes while they change out the Gaylord’s. That means 200 shoppers spending 45 minutes every hour not shopping. That is thousands of shopping hours per day being wasted in which customers could be finding product to buy. Take a lesson from the other clearance centers around the US. Close a row of bins and change them out while everyone keeps shopping. Cover the bins being wheeled out, and uncover the new ones when in place. Organized! Less goodwill employees needed! More items sold! More profit! Less items landfilled! Just figure this out. It’s working great for other clearance centers.
Considering everything here is 100% profit how hard would it be to wash the clothes and bedding. Buy some shelves and organize this mess. You literally can't see the bottom of the huge bins that everything is so lazily thrown into. Maybe wipe down the products to make it presentable. Hire some employees hence the job center located here and get it together. Just gross.
