This was an interesting experience, one side of this huge store is "retail" and the other "outlet", which is the side I chose. Few carts seem to be available so I suggest you bring your own bag box or tote to fill up and be weighed for pricing. 1.89$ a lb, when I visited. Things are grouped together in large shallow bins, clothing, shoes, books, and housewares aka everything else. You are free to rummage through things and if you stay long enough you'll witness a massing crowd as they switch out bins of things. Could be a Saturday thing..idk. The place could use a good cleaning as compared to other goodwill locations. Did not visit the retail side yet..
My first time there. Had a blast. Recommend to wear gloves your hands get pretty dirty. If you dont mind digging for treasures then this is for you. Everything is 1.59 pound except books. They are 59. Cents a pound.
The outlet no longer has enough carts. I don't know if they've been stolen or if they just don't have enough for the number of customers, but they've been out of carts the last two times I've visited. They sell by the pound and it's important to be able to have a cart.
i come here a lot with my friend and there’s always these weird middle aged men who just sit in the corner, never shop or do anything just sit there. we were there today and those men started throwing cards at customers, they hit me, my friend, a child in the face, and an older woman in the EYE with cards while sitting in the corner smirking. we all eventually told one of the workers and she told the supervisor and the supervisor said she couldn’t do anything about it which is absolutely ridiculous. those men literally just loiter in the store and are now throwing things which i presume is to steer customers away from the store? i’m not even sure maybe they’re just disgusting people but for the supervisor to just simply not do anything about it is ridiculous. i really love coming here but if those men continue to do that i’ll probably just have to stop or call the police or something idk. we all left really upset and disappointed with the staff
It's OK if you like looking through bins. It's by weight $1.89 per pound so my books made my purchase $$ for used items. Its going to a good cause but remember to not buy big hardcopy books!
Thursday evening at closing a woman and black " gentleman" closed She was incredibly rude to me during another visit and he was using awful profanity mybwufe was so uncomfortable she left. Additionally she remembered that this same gentleman and I used the term loosely spoke to another customer and did not speak to her for personal reasons because she had made a complaint who does things like that so for the second time this person this gentleman was rude or participated in poor Behavior it is Thoroughly unprofessional to walk into a store and hear the F-bomb from a staff member it's not in keeping with the reputation of Goodwill I was appalled after hearing this these people should be reprimanded who hires them that they're allowed to behave like this they should be replaced it's uncomfortable to shop in there so we rarely go because of these people and if there's no shopping just don't know donating the retail store is a place to avoid
There are no carts available no matter when you go. There are people who take 2 and stay there all day holding the carts. Some people also use their 2 carts to block new tables coming out so that others can’t shop them. The staff has let this go ok so long and won’t enforce the rules. It’s incredibly frustrating!
Was treated horribly by assistant manager named Charles. Had a very simple concern about a light jacket I went to purchase out of a $4.69 section as pictured. There were about a dozen of them all grouped into the long sleeve section as you can see, in sizes medium and XL. At the cashier I was told it would be $6.99. I bought it anyway, as the price isn't bad for something I liked. When my wife went to ask about the price discrepancy afterwards, a man who said he was an assistant manager named Charles constantly interrupted her, spoke condescendingly to her by telling her to use "common sense." Then ignored her completely as if she didn't matter as a person, to speak to me, only to tell me some nonsense about the signs, which if he were listening to our concern, was the problem to begin with. A simple sorry for the inconvenience, putting up a sign with an accurate price or a small discount would have all been appropriate solutions to the issue raised. But instead we got disrespected . Charles shouldn't be working in any customer service position.
This review is only for the retail side of the store, I did not go into the outlet as I ran out of time. The prices are fair and I happened to come in on a Sunday which was $.99 day for two color tags. The clothing items are very basic, kohls, Target, etc. There was a LOT of home items on the day that I was in and they were well organized. I only saw one employee while there and she was pleasant enough while ringing me up. I took one star off because the place definitely doesn’t feel clean or well lit. Could use a good wipe down all around and maybe a scrubbing of the floors. Will definitely have to stop by the outlet when I have more time.
This location is particularly strange compared to the other places. The building appears huge on the outside which was exciting. Upon entering I've noticed no racks. Just a bunch of bins filled with items which everyone rummages through. The quality of the items weren't great. It was also a surprise that all items are sold by weight. What a strange concept.
