Goonie's Comedy Club

We were very excited to try out Goonies for a girls night out, and ended up being extremely disappointed. We bought our tickets online, showed up with a group of 6, and were placed at a table meant for 4 people. On top of that we were squished into the back corner, by the door meant for the waiters. Immediately, as we were seated, and waiter firmly told us that we were going to have to figure out our seating arrangement, because we were in the way of the door. When we approached the host about this, he said that we were out of luck because seats were determined and it was a full house. So when we asked for a refund (we were not going to sit and be uncomfortable all night), he continually ignored our complaints saying "well you have six, there isn't much I can do about that." Eventually, after much probing, we were able to get tickets for a future show. I have never been spoken to both so rudely or had my concerns be blatantly ignored, as they were at Goonies. I am sure if you went with a group of 2, 4, or 8 you would be okay. Just DO NOT go with 6 people apparently!

It was very disappointing. We went for New Years Eve, 10:00 pm show. I was under the impression it was supposed to last until midnight. Last call was about 11:00. We were all told the club would close at 11:15. There were about 50 people in attendance. Age range was about 40 to 70. The joke background was age appropriate but listening to the “f” word over and over again was not funny. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not opposed to profanity. But when that’s the entire basis for your shtick is 4 letter language, maybe you should stick to your day job. We’ve been to the Crooked Pint, where Goonies is located, for meals and it’s been pretty good. But the comedy club is a huge thumbs down in my opinion. Rochester has better places to be entertained. Goonies is not one of them

If you have a group of 6 don't expect a good spot to see the show. Got stuck at small high top next to kitchen swigging door and would not let us have a better seating. Make for 4 or 8 people.

Love this place. Great club with some funny characters. I'm grateful that our city has a place where you can go to get a good laugh.
