Grace Church

This Church is pretty awesome, from my experiences so far they are one of the greatest groups of worshipers I've ever encountered. As an associate minister in Durham, I can say that although they are small in stature, in love this church is monumental. It's their genuine human sensitivity that makes them a beacon of hope in the city.

It was my first visit and I received no greeting at the door. Mostly alot of young people roaming around. The executive Pastor came out at the end of praise and worship said a few words then disappeared until end of service. The guest speaker was all televised.. I am used to the PAstor coming out to speak with the congregation.. I don't think I'll be going back..

Our family moved to NC in 1996 and attended a local church for about 8 years. Many changes began to occur in the church, so we started looking for a new one. We attended two different churches over the next two years. A friend then suggested we try Grace Church. As soon as I walked through the doors, I knew this is where God wanted us to be. The worship music and sermons are always outstanding. We the opportunity to serve where our talents are and connect with many people through small groups. If you are looking for a church home where God meets you in whatever stage of life you are at, please give Grace Church a try.

When I moved to Durham for graduate school 2 years ago, I was new to the area and looking for a church to get connected with. A friend from school recommended coming to Grace, and after my first visit I couldn't wait to go back the next Sunday. The messages each Sunday are always so relevant and made applicable to what I am going through day to day. It is so refreshing to attend a church that encourages its members through biblical, spirit-filled teachings of God's love and purpose for all of our lives. Growing up my family did not consistently attend one church, and I felt I had never belonged to a church family. But here at Grace I have felt welcomed into the Grace family since day 1. Through the variety of small groups available at Grace, I have been blessed to have made many wonderful friends and mentors who love Christ and are living for Him. This past year I have gotten even more connected by serving in the children's ministry. I have received such joy from being a part of a children's ministry that is centered around Christ's teachings, is so well organized and focused on safety, and is showing Christ's love to every child at Grace. Overall, I am so thankful to be able to say that Grace church has been a major influence in the recent depth of growth that I have experienced in my relationship with Christ.
