Grace Family Law attorneys and staff are an exceptional group to work with and have acted as stewards through a difficult personal transition. As someone who was married to an attorney I thought professional courtesy would make it hard if not impossible to find a highly competent and well regarded law firm to represent me. After doing my research it was clear that this was not the case, that Grace Family Law was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted representation that could rise to the occasion during challenging negotiations, knew likely outcomes, could understand and respect my perspective yet steer me in the right direction, and would maintain a sense of integrity and help me to keep mine through the entire process. From our first meeting to our last Grace and Joe were confident, honest, friendly, and professional. My divorce lasted just over a year and was one of the most challenging emotional experiences of my life. Grace and Joe extended me empathy and understanding while also moving my case forward and securing me a satisfying outcome. If you find yourself in need of a family law attorney, having a top quality team advocate for you is invaluable. With Grace Family Law you get this help from high quality people, high caliber professionals.
Tate Justesen is hands down one of the best attorneys I’ve worked with. He addresses each issue, question, and concern thoroughly and with care. Tate treats his clients with the utmost respect and makes sure to keep you in the loop every step of the way. You’re not just a number at Grace. The entire team was incredibly responsive, professional and supportive from start to finish, and I could not be more grateful for my experience.
When I fired my previous law firm and hired Grace, I started seeing immediate success with my case that had been stuck in court for a year. She resolved a festering legal situation in an ethical, assertive, and respectful way that benefited everyone involved, and it was mostly done within weeks. Her team is small, responsive, connected, and great to work with. Her team kept me in the loop with every step, including a pretty great online case management system that lets you track everything that goes on. It was easy to work with her by email and phone. The other law firm I previously hired supposedly had "more than 370 years of combined experience". However, I spent two years of my time, many thousands of dollars, and literally waited weeks to get replies to correspondence with that other firm. It was hell. Thankfully, someone asked for family law recommendations on the Nextdoor community website, and I saw a list of recommendations that included Grace Lee Law. After I paid for initial consultations with several firms on that list of recommendations, I hired Grace based on her candid assessment of how to proceed, which was a more direct and empathetic approach than what the other firm suggested. Basically, she treated the problem like a human problem first, with legal research and clout to back it up. It was a huge relief to work with her practice. This must be what it's like to work with someone at the top of their game.
I first met Tate Justesen when I went into Grace Family Law for what I thought would be a one-time consultation on issues of Custody and Parenting Time. It was shortly thereafter that we found ourselves in a situation needing swift and emergency action. Tate, along with the help of Matt DeVore, responded immediately with a good deal of effort, research and thoughtful consideration for our case. Ours was not a usual case, and there were a number of potential roadblocks. However, within the first week, thanks to Tate and Matt's thorough approach and willingness to go the extra mile, we passed the first major hurdle, much to our relief. Our situation proceeded in a somewhat fluid manner. Tate and Matt responded by reassessing the approach for the next step. Their attention to the nuances of the case, I am pleased and grateful to say, resulted in the best possible outcome under the circumstances. We so appreciate Tate and Matt's professionalism and their intelligent style of looking at a case. As a bonus, they are both very kind and personable. I would highly recommend them both without reservation.
This review is solely based of off the experience with follow up and initial conversation with intake to pursue a consultation with an attorney at this firm. After speaking with Kyle the office coordinator so called “Office Manager” KYLE last week about scheduling a consultation with one of the attorneys on a time sensitive issue I was told I would be contacted via email later that day with some dates and times available. With no response still as of today and several attempts to call in to try and schedule with no return calls back I can see why prior reviews with the same experience are apparent. More so I continued to try to make a consultation appointment yet again this morning and spoke with the receptionist who let me know KYLE was the only one who could schedule the consultation and he was unavailable. It wasn’t until informed the receptionist of my frustration and experience with no follow up from KYLE and I wanted to speak with his higher up that he was instantly available. He reassured me he had emailed me yesterday from our first initial conversation a week a go and deemed himself that should have sufficed in lieu of not returning any calls prior that week with my time sensitive issue. After I let him know of his poorly conducted attempt to contact me back he then let me know non of the attorney’s were available or could take my case. His exact words were “no one is available until after the new year”. I understand completely that the firm has many cases as they came highly recommended but as a smaller firm it should not take over a week to get a response from a schedule coordinator to let a possible future client that all the attorney’s are unavailable until after New Years. Really?? After calling KYLE on his lack there of his demeanor completely changed and I asked to be re routed to the front desk. Instead of being professional he asked why and why did I need to talk to the receptionist. I let him know that I wasn’t going to continue the conversation with him and would like to speak with the front desk. This is when he informed me that he was the Office Manager and anything that needed to be left with the front desk he could be made aware of. Interesting how if you a not even a client but a prospective and that’s how you are treated then how actual clients are treated. All in all I believe this was a way letting me know to dodge this firm like a bullet.
I was referred to Grace Family Law by a friend who is involved in family law and had nothing but positive things to say about the firm. After a comprehensive consultation, I decided to hire Joe Crowell to handle my custody case. He was able to secure everything that I had asked for in the agreement in the short time frame that I needed. Custody and parenting time legal matters can be very tumultuous, with a lot riding on the outcome. I am glad that I had Joe's assistance to navigate the stressful situation.
I've called these people three times and left a number three times for a call back to get started on my divorce.... Crickets not a single call , I would not recommend them if your expecting communication.
I would highly recommend this office , they are quick to respond via email and voicemail and Kyle went out of his way to help.
