From standard cheese and pepperoni to creative hazelnut balsamic reduction. The pizza can please all crowds. If you're a local to St Johns come here before or after you see a movie at twin cinemas. Makes for a cute date night dinner. The atmosphere is very cozy and hip. Great place to get dinner in half an hour. Or you can get a bottle of wine and take you time.
Portland has a lot of great pizza spots, and this place tops the list! Amazingly high quality pies, flavorful in a way that you can taste the dedication and ingredients sing, with beloved pies that have been on the menu for a while and a creative daily special. Great ice cream too also creative and fresh ingredients! Very kind owner and employees, and in a spacious beautiful location. What a local gem!
There are too many good things to say about Gracie’s. My man Craig is out here pouring his heart and soul into beautiful food, and it shows. My spouse and I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the new space, and it’s absolutely beautiful. A good size of indoor and outdoor seating, lovely decor and fun personal touches. The quality of the food is excellent. Craig goes out of his way to source fresh, innovative ingredients and crafts them into gorgeous pies. The dough is prepared so well, and the pies cook beautifully in the wood fired oven. I highly recommend trying the daily pie, they’re always fun, delicious and creative. The tomato pie is probably my favorite, it’s simple, classic, and so tasty. There is also homemade ice cream, appetizers, and great wine selections. I think the thing I appreciate the most about Gracie’s, other than the great quality of the food, is that everything is done with genuine love and attention. It’s a staple in the St. John’s community and I love that the space cultivates that. Yes, you’ll probably have to wait an hour for your food when it’s busy, but it’s worth it to me. Every time we’ve gone it’s been consistently tasty.
My girlfriend, her fam is from Italy and so she always knew where to get the best slice. She moved out of state recently and I miss her dearly, sent her a lot of pictures of my pie. The tomato pie really had me in awe the whole way through. And everyone behind the counter is just too kind. Great experience
This place is great! Beautiful interior atmosphere and great energy. I got the Hazelnut Pie and it’s so amazing. The orange oil makes it a really unique item. Love it! Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian pizza! Kid-friendliness: I was here while four families were here. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy floor plan and easy to get around.
Our first time at their new location, same great pics as always! We got the Daily pizza as well as the Prosciutto and nectarines and it was all delicious. Always worth the trip across town!Food: 5/5
Get over here ASAP. We had their seasonal pie that had peaches on it. We lucked out when we went several times. Just before 7, we were told they had no more pizza…then had one ball of dough left and then had 2. We asked about the peach pizza but we’re told it wasn’t available that evening, but they could try to make an exception for one. Turns out that had enough peaches for BOTH. We also had their peach ice cream. TO DIE FOR. The owner and staff were wonderful. We followed him from when he would pop up at Pastifico. Will be back!
An absolute treat! We’ve been fans of Gracie’s for some time, and were thrilled to hear they were moving into the old Cathedral Cafe space. On our first visit with friends we ordered four different pies - we loved them all! Two stand out favorites were the Daily and Mozz with sausage. But also really enjoyed the Briny and Ricotta pie. For those folks who love crust, this is my favorite! Thin, fluffy, and crispy. I don’t know how they do it but it is so tasty! + the wood fire oven adds so much flavor. When our group wasn’t reveling in the flavor combinations of each pie, we were admiring the renovated space. From the fun wallpaper and wood ceiling to the intimate touches that showcase the spirit of the man behind the pie. I feel so lucky to live just down the way. Other helpful Information: First come - first serve. Order at the counter and find an open seat! Beverages include rotating beers and wine. Along with other regular drinks. Parking is limited, but the US Bank parking lot across the street is game after regular business hours.
Here's what you need to know going in... there are not a ton of options or ingredients to choose from, there are no fancy plates, or seating... but you don't need that from Gracie's because each combination they put together are perfect just the way they are. The daily pie tonight was a white pie, with creamed morels, fennel fronds and a green herby, pesto-like sauce. It was - in one word, divine.
Pizza was good but not great, too much sauce that made the pizza very heavy. Also very disappointed with the salad…just a handful of lettuce and some slices of radish for $16. Very over priced in my opinionFood: 3/5
