This is a wonderful place to grab high quality food in a historic trendy cozy restaurant. Lots of outdoor patio and indoor seating, and kid friendly too. The staff was attentive and the food was perfect! Highly recommend!Food: 5/5
I stopped by after the Celtics Duck boat parade and the place was packed, as one might expect, especially on a nice Friday afternoon in the summer. The ambiance is very warm; the brick structure lends an old world feel and charm of the Colonial era gone by. I was able to get a seat at the bar and the bartender was very pleasant and congenial. The service seemed to be on par, albeit a bit slow, and the pub food menu would appeal to a wide variety of palates. I had the Sweet Potato Croquettes for an appetizer and a Lobster Roll as the main course. The food was average but acceptable quality, as with similar places that cater to mainstream cuisine, but a bit pricey. The restaurant is located very close to the New England Aquarium, and the iconic Boston attraction - Faneuil Hall/Quincy market. If you are visiting the area, or want to have a quick meal with standard fare while taking in the nostalgic vibe of the storied Milk Street old Boston commercial center and a culinary show namesake, this would be a good place to stop by.
This is a gastropub right next to the aquarium, which is super convenient if you plan to visit the aquarium. The fish & chips is a bit pricey but they do give you large portions so that helps. The shrimp was also good but there is a big upcharge when you add it to the salads +12 dollars. The mussels were okay and the breakfast nachos were good. Overall, a good place to check out if you're in the mood for seafood.
Great clam chowder, although it is over-priced. The structure was nice but quite obviously gentrified and while the food we ordered was great, there also wasn't a lot of food options to be honest. Vegetarian options: Didn't have specific plant-based options but did have meatless dishes.
Quaint gathering place with excellent food and drinks. The "What the Duck" drink comes with a fun little duck float! Garlic knots and Brussel Sprouts were delicious!!! Margherita Flatbread was also good but was too full to finish.Food: 5/5
Stopped here for a drink Irish Coffee and Spinach Artichoke app. Food was on the pricey side ~$46 without tips for 2 drinks and the app, but service and the decor were very nice! The app was tasty, and the Irish coffee was okay not the best I've had
Justin was amazing! He was very helpful and able to answer all the questions my two year old had! As well as the many mayo runs he did! We also had some apps that were great! We had the ragoon, osters and mussels! Across the street from the aquarium - we stopped here after! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options weee available Dietary restrictions: We had an allergy and the restaurant was able to accommodate! Kid-friendliness: My children had a blast! Wheelchair accessibility: We had a stroller and had no issues getting to our seats!
Very nice spot for food and drinks. Our waitress service started out good and then went down hill. I've never seen an ice tray with oyster shells, used lemons and plates stay the entire dinner melting away. I was never asked if I wanted another $14 drink which I'm sure the owner wants to sell. We also had to share our water. My wife said she just watched you taking some of my water and never came over A little food left and we finally were served a carafe of water. Waited a while for the check. Several tables around us empty. I stood up to find someone and she came over.
The building, dinning set up and wall art are beautiful. The bartender and our server were absolutely rude. They do not have soda fountains. They have canned flat Pepsi and Diet Pepsi that is probably expired they pour in a glass for you and it’s nasty. I asked for two lemons at the bar because our waiter did not seem thrilled to serve us. The bartender did not hand me the lemons but handed them to the server to hand to me which was extremely annoying because yet again I was WAITING FOR THEM. The clam chowder was really good and so was the fish. The coleslaw sucked. There wasn’t enough vinegar and the kale was old. Very expensive for a bad time. I definitely would NOT go back.
Alan is a fantastic bartender! Had to try the “what the duck” and it did not disappoint. Also the burger was goodFood: 5/5
