Sterlings seems like a good place to grab drinks and a quick bite. It's definitely not as busy as the surrounding restaurants, which can be a sign that it should be avoided. However, the patio is lovely and the quite atmosphere was too tempting to skip after the crowds of the rest of this location. Had a beer, a cocktail and the avocado street corn dip... it was quite tasty though it didn't look terribly appealing at first. My eating companion skipped it and preferred to stick to the chips. Service was friendly but seemed inexperienced. The bartender used the glass to scoop ice for a bourbon on the rocks.
I should have known better when I walked about and there were not many people there. The food at this place is just okay at best. They have a very simple menu that they can’t even maintain proper. I would not recommend.
This was such a great find. A quiet, comfortable, spacious patio area in a sea of tourist craziness. The oysters were beautiful, and the fish sandwich was amazing. 10/10 would recommend.
A nice place for drinks and quick bite. The service was good. Nice patio and outdoor area.
Dang. We should have known since it was one of the only places in Quincey without a line or wait. The hostess sat us, but never brought menus. After 10 mins I got up and asked for a server. He came over promptly to take our order without even noticing we didn’t have a menu. We ordered quickly but then waited 45 mins. I didn’t know guacamole and oysters took that long? I got up and asked about the food. Our totally over cooked wings oddly came out first which did not match the menu description. We also added fries to the wings, which didn’t come w the wings. When they finally came out, they’re cold. The dish was NOT worth $18. The $15 corn and guac came with maybe 10 chips. Not worth the wait or cost. We didn’t want to risk it w the oyster so cancelled them. Which at that point, took about an hour to even arrive. Place wasn’t even that busy. Avoid this place. Quincy restaurants w lines and waits are worth the wait for a reason, clearly. The server was sweet though.
I spent a weekend in Boston from New York and after a very bad experience at Alma Cantina I kept looking for places to dine and they were all very full, then I found Sterling's they were empty and I was afraid to go in but I did and I don't regret it , the food very good and the attention perfect, I will definitely return
Food was pretty bad and expensive. Avocado dip and chips was $15. Wings were over cooked and not good. Nice location and outside setting though.
Quickly seated. Service was good except for waitress forgetting only my drink out of a party of 7 people and not asking how everything tasted. I ordered the boneless wings and they were not tenders or boneless wings but they were full size breasts breaded like wings. BBQ sauce tasted great but the chicken was tough and hard to eat. Left hungry. My family on the other hand let me try some of their food and the rest of the food was good.
Made a reservation weeks in advance for 10 people for 10/30 and when we showed up the restaurant wasn’t even open. Extremely frustrating and disappointing to say the least. We made this reservation well in advance to celebrate my sister’s bachelorette party. It was super disappointing to show up to the restaurant to find it closed. You can imagine how hard it is to find a place last minute for 10 people on a Saturday night on Halloween weekend which we shouldn’t of had to do.
Saw the sign for $1 oysters and decided to stop it and have a half dozen oysters. Glad I did! Ended up having 2 dozen oysters! As you can reckon, they were delicious! The service was great here. Very friendly staff! Also, they have a great beer selection, so I was able to find the beer that I like and try something new. The place is clean and well kept, my kind of place! Will definitely be back!
