I had really hoped to have a much different review but after a week I have been given no other option but to share my actual experience. I do NOT recommend this company. There are plenty of other great countertop companies in the Columbus area I would choose when making a large home improvement/investment. The Calacatta Andromeda Quartz is what I selected. The obvious benefit of quartz is its consistent pattern/veining. I’ve attached photos of what I received versus what was in the showroom after they tried telling me what they had installed was “normal”. On the right side is what they installed while on the left you see the more distinct veining that is in fact normal throughout the rest of the quartz they installed in my kitchen and 2 full bathrooms. To spend thousands of dollars for this to be the result is honestly just sickening. PLEASE do not let this happen to you. I had a nick in the backsplash that had to go back to the warehouse and be redone in addition to a large scratch on the end of my bar overhang that needed to be buffed out, after proceeding to tell me that was because the stone was heavy when they carried it. Therefore, it got scratched when it hit something on the way in my house. The frustration actually started before the installation. My installation had been scheduled for 9a-10a the day after Thanksgiving. I had planned my schedule around that time/day. I then received a text at 7:20p the night before thanksgiving that my installation changed and they would now be there between 1p-3p. I texted back within 30 minutes of the text coming in as I had planned my schedule around the time they originally gave me but with it obviously being almost 8p, I never got a response back. Because of that I was unsure what was actually happening that next day and ultimately couldn’t be a part of the plans with my out of state family. Even after that last minute change, they didn’t show up until after 3:30p. During the process, they took a small chunk out of my hardwood floor and spilled paint thinner on my rug they had a drop cloth down so I pulled it back to prevent more from soaking in. While these were unfortunate, they wouldn’t have been the end of the world had my countertops been installed in a manner and quality I had anticipated. Their first response from Kelci, when I addressed the quartz defect during the installation was that I didn’t come in and choose the exact slab therefore accepted this particular slab that they installed. I explained that I had not been given that option and they quickly retracted and said they don’t normally offer that as they choose the section of the slab so they can maximize the square footage of the slab. They still keep saying I approved this slab but I’ve never signed anything or received any proof which would be news to me that I accepted this slab. I walked into the showroom 6 days later as it was the first day I had the availability to do so and dealt with Brittney and she was very helpful and expressed she agreed it didn’t look right and helped me locate the section of the slab that was equivalent to the area I have been referencing. She asked me to send her these photos and mentioned she felt like since it was a significant difference that there was a good chance the owner would agree to replace the slab. A day later, now via text supposedly it’s Brittney but I’m not convinced I’m being told that they are retracting everything Brittney told me and that she went back out and realized we were looking at the wrong section and indeed what they had installed is normal. You look at the photos and be the judge of that for yourself. The coloring is the same. The photos were taken in two different locations which is why the color is different. The issue is the blurred/distorted veining.
Granite Tops and More were THE BEST from start to finish. Nancy stayed in communication with us throughout the whole process. They recommended a few locations to select our granite ex. Mont Surfaces and Stone Mart. Both of those locations had outstanding customer service. We ended up finding something we loved at Stone Mart. Granite Tops and More fabrication price per square foot was less than anyone else I received a quote from ex. Buckeye Granite and their turnaround time was much faster. They measured on a Tuesday, we made our final selection on a Saturday and we had new countertops installed on the following Friday! If you're looking for great customer service, great fabrication price and quality installation, look no further!
Brittany in the sales office was great, quick to respond and helpful! The install team was awesome to work with and everything went as promised and the countertops in my kitchen look great! They cleaned up and went above and beyond. Affordable, excellent quality and service. They will definitely be my first stop on my next project.
Countertop is great looking—-BUT. I have a small chip repair needed- been trying to get someone to fix it for 3 months now— 2 times I have scheduled appointments and both times they were a no show— very difficult to get a hold of- and blow off repair appointments—- Highly disappointed!!!!!!
Great job they did for us, Britany was very upfront about everything, the 2 install guys were great and very careful not to damage out cabinets . They were fast and precise. We will use them again.
I want to share my experience interacting with this business. I have appreciated the knowledge of colors, styles and design expertise recommended for my home. However, it is unfortunate that I did not have a similar experience when it comes to the installation process. My experience proved to have a lack of attention to detail, poor / unprofessional communication and no engagement from management and owner despite my request being made multiple times. I have continued to be very flexible with my own work schedule and time I have taken off to accommodate the continued mishaps. Including, the first installation date being missed due to their incorrect measurement of the kitchen sink cabinet. I took a half day off work for this as well as having to cancel/reschedule my plumbers who were scheduled the next day to install the kitchen faucet, disposal and dishwasher. One week later I was scheduled for 1:30pm and that was missed as well. I received a text message at 1:10pm advising that the installation could take place between 4-5pm. I had already left work and had another half day off. When no one had showed up by 5:15pm I attempted to contact both the store and the employee that I had been working with. I got no answer nor a call back. Finally, at 6:10pm the installers showed up and installed the countertops. You have a beautiful product but, the poor communication and lack of attention to detail has cost me 2 weeks without the use of my kitchen, plumbing and many hours of missed work. While they offered a small price adjustment, they did not compensate me to the level I was comfortable with. Most of all, my concerns were disregarded and not taken seriously. Based off of the Better Business Bureau rating and their accreditation being revoked as well as my personal experience I will not be recommending this company to anyone nor using them for any other projects of my own.
When I needed to call Granite tops and more to do another project for us I “Googled” them to get their phone number. I noticed 2 really negative reviews, which surprised me. Over the last 5 years we have purchased 100+ Sq ft. We just did another kitchen project in January 2019. I can tell you unequivocally that they are still a great company to work with. The negative reviews seem to be targeted toward a management change. These guys offer great products at great prices and their craftsmanship is excellent. You will not be disappointed if you choose them for your project. Before you give weight to the negative reviewers consider these factors. One reviewer has only written one review and the other has written 5, of which 4 were 1 Star reviews. I rely heavily on reviews when considering what company to go with. People who have written many reviews and rated many companies will be designated as “Local Guides” by Google in their review. I give these reviewers more weight than a reviewer that has only written 1 review and may have an agenda or score to settle. I’m not saying that is what’s happening here because I have no way of knowing. I do know that I would be very disappointed if a negative review kept me away from this company.
You get to talk directly to a sales person the whole process and had countertop measured and installed in under a week. Would’ve been faster if I didn’t hold it all back! 4th or 5th time using them
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. They were friendly and easy to deal with, had a quick turn-around, they gave me a veterans discount, and I had them do the whole job starting with tear out of old counter to the last task of re-installing the plumbing. We had countertop installed on Valentines day which was a nice way to celebrate our beautiful new counter. I highly recommend them if you're in the market for new countertops.
Granite Topsand More were very professional and timely from their emails to appointments, to Installation. The quality of their work is really great and the marble we added to our kitchen looks gorgeous! I would definitely work with them again!
