Grassroots Campaigns

This was a Horrible Company to work for. The company is a two room office located in the back of some strip mall. The managers are a combination of 20 y/o high school dropouts and drug addicts. The enviornment is a oppressive Fema-Nazi domain made for woman by woman. The woman are overly sensative and thrive on humiliating men that work for their organization. You can make $1,800 a month but its commission based and you can easliy lose your job if you dont get enough donations. The job is standing on a street corner asking strangers for money. There are many highly respected non-profit organizations, this is the least qualified I have seen. Men beware this non-profit.

Id like to start out saying GCI is a corparation they work on behalf of non-profits. Their aim is to further strengthen the left wing movement in America by promoting progressive ideals. They canvass for funds, petitions, initiatives, and get out to vote campaigns. They are very grassroots so don't expect glamour expect modest budgets and the frustrations that can come with that. Expect struggle and abuse from a sometimes hostile public who can be very conservative in Places like Texas. The pay varies due to the nature of the work, it is performance based but if you are good at the job you can earn a pretty hefty wage. All that being said if you care about fighting racism, mysoginy, islamophobia, white supremacy, imperialism, etc. This is a great place to be. Furthermore the campaigns you will be working on have immense impact and truly effect people's lives.
