We visited from New York last week and we absolutely LOVED it here! The weather wasn’t too beach friendly, so our kids played here each morning. We left our boys at the “stay and play” for 90 minutes, which was run by a very warm and loving staff. They were wonderful with our kids, and the other patrons were super friendly too. It was a wonderful experience and our kids are excited to go back sometime!
Paid $5.50 tax included for a day pass. It is a great place to bring your small babies without the fear of being run over by bigger kids. There are so many toys they can play with. I just wish some toys have batteries. They also have a 90 minute drop off program for $15, which I haven't tried yet, but will probably do in the near future haha.
We LOVE Green Bean. I take my 1 year old son here every week and we have been more than happy with our experience. This play place is a large, very clean enclosed baby- and toddler-proofed room with an abundance of different kinds of toys and seating for adults to sit back and interact while lightly supervising their children. The kids are almost always so engrossed in their play that there is hardly a need for parental intervention, tantrums, or injuries. It's been very relaxing to sit back and allow my son to play independently while I chat with other moms, make friends, and enjoy my breakfast and coffee without my son constantly demanding some of my food or needing me to play with him every second of the day. In fact, 3 hours of play at Green Bean leaves him so tired that he takes a 3 hour nap and goes to bed on-time without any struggle. I also find that all his extra play time here has been helpful in reducing his picky eating tendencies and short attention span, and has helped me be a more peaceful parent because I can take a break from worrying while releasing some of his pent-up Boy Energy. The workers are incredibly kind and recognize everyone that walks through the door. They keep the place organized and clean, wiping every toy that has been played with or touched, and have a bin for parents to place any toys that have been mouthed. It can be difficult to find places to take my son because most playgrounds are full of children that are older or engage in rough play, so I appreciate that there is low stimulus so my son isn't being nearly run over everywhere he turns. The age range is 6 years and younger, though I might add that those on the upper age range bring a different kind of atmosphere, since they are bigger, louder, run faster, and tend to hog the other toys. But if you have an older baby, toddler, or preschooler or one of each!, this is the place to bring them. Overall, we really love this place and feel that the punch card has been well worth our money- we will be purchasing another one!
This place is amazing! My 20 mo old had the best time here. He was free to run, play, socialize and touch and I was free to sit and relax! This place is very clean and spacious. The owners are lovely people and they take very good care of their business. Throughout our time there I saw them walking around sanitizing toys, making sure everything stayed clean and safe. We will definitely be returning and I would recommend green bean to anyone who is looking for a fun environment for their little one.
I take my one year old there to be able to play and run as he pleases. He has a lot of energy so the green bean is perfect for him! He loves it there! I’m horrible with remembering names but the older lady at the front desk is the sweetest and my son loves her probably more than the kids and the toys. She’s so gentle with him and she interacts with parents well too. I love her just as much as my son does because she is just such a kind and caring soul. I love that she’s constantly cleaning and wiping/sanitizing toys to make sure that it’s a safe and clean environment for the children. The coffee there is also amazing. I will forever come back as long as this place exists! Thank you for providing my son with a safe place and also for such great work! I would give this place 10 stars if I could!!
This place is incredible! There are so many sensory toys, imagination play options, a cafe with lattes and snacks, little ones his age and a locked gate that means mama could lay back on one of the big comfy chairs or couches without having to helicopter to be sure he didn't get snatched up or run off away from the playground like typically happens. The staff was fantastic, helpful and friendly, the whole place was immaculately clean and we could not have had a better morning. We will definitely be returning!
Lovely play cafe for toddlers. Lots of thought must have gone into making this play place so much fun and well-equipped for little kids. Having been a regular customer here over the last two years, i can say it’s maintained well and kept clean - generally shown a lot of care and attention by the owner and staff. Customers are made to feel welcome by the team there, especially by Jackie, who gets to know all the repeat customers well. Thanks to all at Green Bean for creating a special, safe place for parents to come with their kids.
We have been coming here since my 8 year old was a baby and have continued to come with my 4 year old and 10 month old. They are friendly, clean, and always ready to play with the kids. We’ve used the drop off service as well and my daughter loves it. I’m able to run a few errands and get things done while she plays. They are affordable and always a great time!
First, I would like to address the review left yesterday by Amber. I was present at The Green Bean while she was there with her children. Her account of what happened is entirely false. Amber sat on her phone the entire time her children were at Green Bean. Numerous times, her son was aggressive to other children- he punched one girl in the eye, scratched another girl while trying to rip a mask off of her face, and those are just two of the many instances. Not once did Amber step in to address his behavior. All of the other parents present were on guard trying to keep their children from being victimized by this boy. I saw the event she described and Jackie was neither aggressive or rude. The child was climbing a shelf the shelf is secured so it will not fall over but the child could have easily fallen on his own and he was ripping decorations off of the wall. Jackie watched and waited for Amber to help him down or correct his behavior and when Amber failed to keep her child safe, Jackie gently helped the boy down so he would not risk falling. Amber then snapped at Jackie, telling her not to touch her son. If Amber had been parenting her child, Jackie would not have had to assist/touch him at all. It was incredibly rude of Amber to allow her child to victimize other children without so much as an apology or even attempting to correct her child. The Green Bean is a wonderful, safe child’s play place and the only thing unsafe about it yesterday was the lack of parenting on Amber’s behalf. My son and I love The Green Bean. We have a membership because we come here so often. It is safe for babies, toddlers, preschoolers etc. One of the things I love the most is that I don’t have to worry about whether or not my son will get hurt here. All of the toys are age appropriate and all of the larger items are properly secured to avoid potential danger. Jackie and Sabina are wonderful. They are so sweet and the kids and parents LOVE them. They are always picking up and always cleaning/sanitizing to keep the area clean and fun! I love that there is adequate, comfortable seating around the perimeter. This allows me to be able to watch my child play independently and intervene if necessary. The variety of toys ensures that my son is never bored! We love the special activities they offer on different days of the week. Thank you, Jackie and Sabina, for giving us a home away from home.
Great place for toddlers. My daughter did not want to leave. Well worth my $9.90...and that's for all day. The staff is great and friendly. Not an easy task to constantly tidy up the place but they strive to do so. Really don't think it's a place for ages 5-7.....once the older kids come in....it's kinda scary because they may run and I get really nervous. First time mommy issues I guess.... Plenty of chairs for the parents to sit along with a snack/coffee area.
