Greening of Detroit

What a beautiful tranquil spot right in the heart of Detroit! So many beautiful birds and flowers, plus it had the nicest man grounds keeper giving away heirloom tomatoes, if you are in the area this is a MUST SEE!

I am glad to be able to share what a positive experience this was . Their website explains who they are and everyone who has a connection to the city of Detroit should click the link. They accept donations to help plant thousands of trees all over the city. Trees can also be purchased and planted to honor a loved one. The donor can choose to physically plant the tree themselves the day of the event or let the organization do it. Seventy trees were planted on the Saturday morning I attended. These people are determined to bring back the tree lined streets and shaded parks that I remember as a kid. If you're looking for a great cause, think seriously obout this one.

I love the experience my son is receiving working for Greening of Detroit.The pay is great , character is being built, and I appreciate that it's two different locations to use for pickup or drop offs.

Great place to get you prepared in the field of Greening. I am a certfied Tree Artisan now in the Local IBEW UNION. Thanks to The Greening of Detroit's program. Mr. Buskin, and his staff will provide a way for you to accomplish your goals.

If I could go back I would I love them

It seems as though it is impossible to get in contact with ANYONE at either location, I've emailed twice, submitted an application for build a garden twice and no response. The telephone number is constantly busy, the voicemail on Michigan Ave. is from December 2016, it's April!!

An awesome place. They are here to help the community by offering job training, job placement, they have a referral program, assist with community gardens, building Detroit up and so much more
