Amazing service! I found a beautiful piece of pine wood to make a mantle. It was beyond my expectations in what I was looking for. Customer service was amazing. The price was very reasonable. The worker was so patient with me in the lumbar yard and helped me find exactly what I was looking for!
Excellent service and quality work. We needed the project done on a very tight schedule and they delivered on time. They coordinated with other workers on the site and were pleasant to work with. They were subcontracted by our landscape designer Nique'scapes as part of a larger project. We couldn't be happier with our new deck and ramada!
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff
I am a contractor who did business with Groff for a long time, and I won't be going back. Best part is they dont care. Awesome way to run your business.
Recently I added a courtyard to our home and purchased the timbers, latillas, and gate from Groff. I paid an additional fee to have Groff install the gate once our wall and the gate opening was complete. Scheduling the initial visit for the installer, who was also the "operations Manager" and also the spouse of the General manager, was difficult because he would not return phone calls. After several attempts over several weeks he did answer a call to his cell phone and scheduled a day to install the gate. Weather caused another delay but he finally showed up. He was very unprofessional during his entire time installing the gate. He spent most of his time and attention on phone calls and complained to my wife about another customer that he felt was causing him a problem. Because I was working with the gravel and trying to work around what he was doing I asked him six different times how long did he think he would be. He never answered that question. He was very disorganized, appeared to have difficulty installing the gate and expressed consternation for the hardware that cast serious doubt on whether he had ever installed such a gate. When he finished the installation and left, he did not clean up the mess of papers and wood shavings and left them scattered around the gate. While the gate appeared to be installed correctly he left several screws installed but not completely screwed in and additional holes where screws were attempted but not installed. Groff supplied the original timbers for my home when I built it in 1977 and has always provided quality lumber. The folks I dealt with at the lumber yard, particularly Robert, were always helpful and pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately, the Operations Manager was not. I will not purchase installation of any of Groff's products in the future.
The lady that work with me and my son was very helpful she was always in contact with my son about the order we put in no problems pick up our orders today with no problems I would recommend them to everyone who needs there lumber
Asked and paid to get a quote in a pergola...they never got back to us..had to call multiple times so they would come...then had to wait to month to get so-called quote and never got it...apparently too busy to get new business...there are better and more responsive business in town
I got the best help from Lisa, Grofff's General Manager. She helped me anticipate each step of the process of constructing a shade structure. This business is continuing the long tradition of lumber milling in New Mexico and they do it so well. We received the best products for our dollar and our structure looks fantastic! Had a great experience purchasing lumber for my home remodel from here a few years ago and now as I start a new project, I'm definitely going to use Groff again.
Greatest place to get custom-sized timbers and corbels. Unfortunate that Groff construction team insisted ten years ago that the 8" diameter viga patio posts did not need any waterproof or corrosion protection when they embedded them in cement. The crew manager insisted that we knew nothing of construction when we asked him to treat the below grade wood. He said our sandy soil had good drainage and consequently the below grade lumber did not require treatment. He was unpleasant about it and we deferred to his judgement so that he would not walk away and leave it unfinished. Ten years later we find the unprotected wood has been eaten by acids emmited by the cement in which the post was embedded. One post lost 3/4" diameter all around, three others lost 1/2" to cement acid erosion. Wary of the construction practices but we love Groff products.
