It takes a lot to get me angry; however, I hate Groomingdales and will never go back! Waited over 3 months to get in and then the week before they call my grandpa and reschedule for the next week. Then I show up today with 3 kids (3 and under mind you) and a dog in tow and as I don't even get in the door they tell me my appointment was yesterday and they won't even try to get him in. I told them I have had this down and waited long enough and they must have given us the wrong date. Nothing! No apology, no let me see what I can do, no let me try to make this better or even let you in the door. So I now have to drag my poor matted dog and 3 babies out of the doorway and back into the car. I'm so beyond pissed. Their communication is the worst! My dog was matted before but now I need him shaved completely instead of just some grooming and find a new groomer quickly.

I have been going to Groomingdales for the last 28 years, my first dog for 12 and my cockapoo for the last 16 years, Unfortunately my dog has developed cancer of the penis, and so far has been doing fairly well on his meds, but when I asked Sandy to trim him, do his ears etc, she declined and said she would prefer not to, don't know exactly why, I did tell her he was matted on his belly and that he did leak urine. I feel very hurt that I have done business there for so many years and she couldn't do this one favor. I have always been happy with their work and how they treated my dogs but I was just hurt by this last request. Would go to the other gal, but not Sandy.

LOVED IT! and so did my dog! She looked and smelled so good. The ladies were so nice and the price was very reasonable. I will go back.

Absolutely Horrible! I am not one to complain about businesses, but this was by far the worst place I have had my dog groomed at in the last 10 years. When I called I told the lady on the phone that I DID NOT want my dog completely shaved because she stays outside during the day and it is getting cold out. The lady assured me that they wouldn't shave all of her hair off and that she would still have a bit of a coat on her so she could stay warm outside. I had my children go pick up our dog when she was done and not only did they completely shave off every bit of hair on my dog (including her face, whiskers and all), but the young lady asked my children if they were there to pick up the "old, ugly" dog. She then went on to scold my children and tell them that they need to take better care of the dog and brush her more often because her hair was tangled. Not only was it inappropriate for her to talk to my children that way about their pet, but it was completely untrue because I personally brushed and groomed the dog myself the night before I took her in. My impression is that this young lady just got frustrated because our dog had thick hair and instead of doing a good job decided to just shave everything off without even taking the time to call me and explain the situation and ask me.
