WOW. Entering the 2015 class of GCC was the best decision I ever made in my life. I had countless opportunities which afforded me the right to, travel to Ecuador (all paid for), travel to Washington D.C, get paid metro cards, stipends and enter a beautiful community filled with different people from various backgrounds and talents. The professors spend so much time coaching their students into becoming the best students, pushing them academically and emotionally into adults who will be prepared for the world. The professors at GCC are extremely dedicated to the cultivation of their students and are supportive of your growth as students and future leaders, each one of them inspired me in a way that is indescribable. The counselors in Financial Aide are extremely helpful, and caring! I can rave about this school all day, but this college changed me, I want more out of my life. Thanks to GCC I was accepted and admitted into Spelman College! Every student should attend Guttman, it's amazing and will inspire you!!!!

Theoretically, this is a very good school. At the time of my attendance, it was number one in New York state for community colleges based on multiple measures of success. The professors are well-versed in their subjects and for the most part, they are very professional. There are innumerable resources accessible to students as well.
However, the atmosphere feels very much like high school, perhaps even more so than my actual high school did. The professors, while professional, do treat their pupils as if they are children oftentimes and several policies reinforce this. Additionally, the lack of cooperation and choice in schedule creation, the odd semester and cohort arrangement (meaning that you are in school for twelve months out of the year and in classes with the same people for this time), the relative obscurity of the school and it's reputation as a whole, and the high tuition rate do not make this a good school for the value, in my opinion.

It's a good college with many support services for the students, plus the library stays open late which is awesome when your schedule is in the afternoon and need to get work done after classes.

I go to city tech, but I enjoy this library on the weekends since it is open on sundays and has later hours than my school!

Some professors are saying Guttman College is Ponzi scheme and diverted funds from New York State to give administrators a pay raise instead of going to the students. They also said most of your college credits will not transfer to a senior CUNY college. This college isn't accredited by the Middle States. Beware!
