H.Y. Asian Cuisine

My boyfriend and I ate at this place on a whim this evening. We live 7 minutes away so we thought it'd be perfect for a Friday night. We walked in, and were immediately impressed because every single table was full and everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves! The host greeted us and said it'd be about a 2-5 minute wait for our table. It was pretty much a 2 minute wait despite the amount of people there! Our server was extremely pleasant, fast, and offered suggestions for non-alcoholic drinks (which turned out to be great). We also ordered an appetizer and a pot of tea. She was really on top of her game. The food came out quickly, and it was very hot and nicely presented. My boyfriend ate all of his sushi and I was able to take at least half of my food home for leftovers. This place is clean, fast, friendly and the food is quality. It is near campus but is definitely NOT a campus type of restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly for all ages and families with children. We will be going back soon.

Wouldn't know...refused to sell me a $5 takeout ( golden crunch roll) which was a special shown at the door. Told me that I could have it for the regular price of $9.95. Two customers inside and me taking a $20 takeout order somewhere else! Good use of having a special!

Went for lunch- great service, good prices and portions for the lunch menu. I had the curry dish with fresh Thai basil and coconut milk. Layers of flavor that change throughout the dish. Came with delicious miso soup. My friend had the eggplant dish- hot! But also very nuanced in flavor, a lovely sweetness to it. My friend had a cocktail and felt it was a little light on the alcohol but otherwise he was as pleased and surprised as I was. Will definitely be going back! *maybe with a flask ;)

First time. The servers were great. The appetizers were okay, but when it comes to the main course - the lamb pot. The lamb was a bit tough to chew, the flavor of the soup of the lamb were separated from each other (can't feel the spice of the soup in the lamb). Update: Went another time, in conclusion: The server wasn’t really responsible. 2018 Update: Don’t order salad lol Their green house salad at lunch, is exactly what I fed my friend’s bunny last week.

Service was excellent and fast. Great lighting and atmosphere, not too loud to hear your friends. Love the Sichuan dishes- all of them have been out of this world good.
