They have colored tags but no longer have monthly tag deals. Their prices are outrageous, you can find the same at retail store for the same $ or a little more but brand new. Are they aware their items are donated? You don't have to give stuff away for free but darn be reasonable in pricing. AND do not reply with all money goes towards your mission, because that is not true, your price gouging. If you bring back the monthly colored tags or lower your prices you will sell more items and probably make more $. AND do not reply with some items are new, from liquidation and/or an auction. 1 Your used-donated items are over priced 2 If you go into selling liquidation or auction items you should be selling those items 40-60% below retail like other liquidation resellers.
Everything you see inside the store is donated but they sell those like they paid for since everything is close to retail price. Most of the stuff is old junk that people don't need but they put random higher prices. To helo you understand, they are selling refrigerator for like $2250, can you believe that? Same refrigerator i have been seeing for like 6 months and ofcourse no one wants to pay that price. Entire store is full with stuff because people don't buy like they used to and they are still getting heavy donations but they don't reduce prices and they'll show attitude back if you dare ask to go any lower. Their price tags are still color coded but they don't apply any discount on colors or change colors monthly anymore. I personally find better price items in Goodwill now than Habitat. I also used to work for Habitat in past so i know how they hire free volunteers to work for them and keep most of the profit in-house. You go college and if you get lucky for scholarship, one of the requirement is to do community service and that's how i even worked for free in store as well and know many workers that are volunteer and still stressed for their job at Habitat. Overall, it's a business, don't look at them as non-profit organization.
Alot of good stuff at a very cheap price. I was supposed to buy a office table in Amazon at 65 dollars, then I saw one here and just spent 12.50... that was a goo steal!
This used to be a good place to get used things at good deals. The prices are crazy high for this used stuff. And there is a lot of junk that they need to make the decision that it won't sell and clean it up. It's really disappointing. I was going to donate a bunch of tiling I have but I'm going to give it to St Vincent now because I know they will give someone a good deal and not price gouge. It's brand new too.
the restore store on emmet st west has the most ridiculous prices if you just add 15 or 20 dollars more you can buy them brand new at the stores doors cabinets and stuff with ridiculously high prices for a thrift store everything is a donation and they want to rob you I do not recommend this store to people even in dreams
Price on appliances refrigerator that was the same as Lowes. Has underwent multiple management and staffing changes. Unless you’re browsing for odds and ends forget about it and buy something with a warranty that delivers.
A rack for $30? Really? we can find better one at Ross for $19 in the same day. since this is a non-profit organization, price just doesn’t make sense anymore.
My last and final visit. Prices are to high. Saw a small wood table I liked, but $90 and chipped. I know it's a good cause, but shoppers like me are on a budget. That table not long ago would have been about $20. I'll continue with the other thrift stores.
Hours are absolutely ridiculous, and then when I brought a desk and bed frame the lady there was incredibly rude. They almost didn't take the two items because they argued with me about the easy assembly. Men working at the time were fine, but the women was straight up rude.
What a wonderful place. I'm always pleased with the amount of house material they have. Like tools, nails, nuts, and bolts. However, this restore is full of furniture of good quality and especially price.
