We actually live across the Colorado state line in Wray. Don and I have traveled all across this beautiful country full time in our RV for the last 20 years. This restaurant is far and above the BEST we have ever found. It is very CLEAN, FRIENDLY, and the FOOD is OUTSTANDING!!! The chicken fried steak is actual steak with homemade breading; the hamburger buns are buttered and warmed on the griddle (like they all used to do) and NOT just put on a cold bun. The homemade cinnamon rolls are beyond a description. We have never eaten anything that wasn't very tasty! We are fortunate to live so close, but glad we don't live closer or we would be tempted to eat there all the time!! :)

We discovered this little gem last year on our way back home from Colorado. This year, we made a stop for some of their delicious homemade pie on the way west and delayed lunch until we reached Haigler as we headed home. Their food is so good, the servers are friendly, and the owner herself welcomes you. We love this place. It's worth rerouting to enjoy the great food and down home feel at the Haigler Country Cafe.
