This hotel is perfection! My favourite place to stay in Lulu. Beautiful rooms, great staff and an incredible pool that views the beach. The restaurants are great here and you get to enjoy live music. Walking distance from everything
This is easily one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. The location is amazing, the view from our room was spectacular and the service across all areas from check in to room service to the restaurants was unbeatable. I can't rate this hotel highly enough. What an amazing experience. Thank you!Rooms: 5/5
What a memorable property! Great location- sleek w/ traditional Hawaiian flair. Rooms are lovely, well-appointed with amenities to make your stay pleasant i.e. Nespresso machine, bath products, robes, turndown service, etc. Rooms have lovely views of the Ocean or Diamond Head. Pool is quite the oasis with food/beverage/chair service. Carlos & Kawalo right there to help in any way! "Room without a Key" is a lovely breakfast/lunch venue that offers an extensive buffet breakfast catering to all American and Asian tastes. The staff is professional, warm and inviting. Thank you Mariah, Beth, Jan & Guy! Daily Hawaiian music and dance under the Banyon Tree. Other fine restaurants include Orchids & La Mer. Complimentary coffee every morning. Lovely public areas, restaurants and prime location. Breathtaking views of Diamond Head and the Ocean. Not inexpensive, but quite the experience. Hotel can only get better with a quiet- "adult only" pool area.
Giving it a one star to make a point. Mediocre at best and totally overpriced for what it is. Pool is tiny. Service is hit or miss. Gym is under renovation and has been relocated into 2 hotel rooms. Admittedly not their fault, but woken up on Saturday with loud blaring music at 7am from some event outside. Hence the 1-star rating for location. It’s just in a very touristy noisy area. Overall extremely underwhelming experience. Would be ok on a business trip but not what I’m looking for on vacation. At best 4.5 star hotel. Has no business being called 5 star.
My wife and I did not stay at this hotel, although friends of ours did and said that the rooms were beautiful and clean and offered great views of the always-shimmering blue sea. Rather, we came for drinks and dinner while outside watching the sunset, listening to incredible Hawaiian music and watching hula dancing as the sun set gently to the west. The service there is impeccable, the hotel remarkable. Our friend said that inside is one the best bar he has ever frequented or seen. As we were listening to the music and watching the sunset, a sailboat pulled up close to us and let passengers off on the shore. Magical.
A Hotel Masterpiece This is the first hotel in the world where I wish I could’ve said “thank you” to every individual that worked at the Halekulani, because everyone of them made our visit exquisite. From Mark at the Omelette station, to the lovely lady that greeted us before breakfast every morning, to the bar men who gave my daughter a complimentary mocktail, this is a hotel that has mastered authentic, warm and enthusiastic client service. Unquestionably, the finest hotel in Waikiki, and they deserve this accolade. We will be back again. Thank you to the entire team at this hotel paradise. The Albrecht Family
My second stay here and the quality of service has decreased. Last year, there was always an edible gift, like chocolate, cookies, papaya even champagne on arrival. This time I was given a room on second floor where the staff works, very noisy, I asked to change rooms to a high floor that I originally requested. Not sure why they gave me a terrible room at first, I’m paying over $650 a night like everyone else. Perhaps the management has changed, it is not the same heavenly experience like last year. But still better than most but not the same as last year. Also, very skimpy on the protein in their Cobb salad, they need to rethink their lunch menus for us who are trying to eat healthy on vacation, instead I had to order the burger to get a enough protein at lunch! Not helpful!
Absolutely stunning hotel with beautiful friendly staff. We were welcomed warmly each day and engaged in conversations with everyone from the porters, valet team, front desk personnel and waitstaff. What a true treasure to the Waikiki area.Rooms: 5/5
My husband and I got married at Halekulani's Hau Terrace recently. This hotel and their sister hotel - Halepuna are the place to stay for couples wanting a romantic, secluded get away. Although expensive think $800+ a night, the Halekulani offers a beautiful suite that faces the ocean front for the newlyweds at a discounted price. You're not only paying for outstanding service, but how well they take care of you and your guests as well. We were greeted with welcome fruit and returned on our wedding night to a bottle of champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries. They offered discounted room rates to our guests and validated parking for them as well. You could not wish for a better view for a wedding venue. Lillian our event services manager was friendly, approachable and easy to contact throughout the entire process. The grounds of the Halekulani are picturesque. Although they do not offer a lot of beach front access, this is made up for by the private, secluded feeling you get away from the crowd of tourists. They offer daily live music in the evening. The rooms are clean and absolutely stunning. A note regarding the smart speakers: look under the device to find the exact device number you are looking to connect to.
Our new favorite hotel in Waikiki. The service is amazing and the location is convenient and centrally located in Waikiki. We booked an oceanfront room and the view was awesome to wake up to and enjoy breakfast on the balcony. The bed seemed larger than a typical king bed and it was very comfortable. We love House Without a Key and always look forward to seeing Kapena. The DeLima family are so talented and Kelly Boy is always so kind with so much Aloha spirit. It was great to see Maggie perform at Lewers Lounge too. Afternoon tea was a nice treat in an elegant and relaxing setting. We spent a lot of time at the pool and the staff there are awesome.
