I don’t know why you would go anywhere else. It’s the most efficient clinic I’ve ever been to. Availability for urgent appointments is a major plus. The doctors have been amazing- kind, patient, competent. They go above and beyond. I am never dissatisfied, I never leave with unanswered questions. Drs Milvid, Oats, Jones, and Gorman are phenomenal. They have seen us in the hospital and the clinic; by phone and in person. I highly recommend this clinic.

Today I took my kids to see Dr. Milvid. We had the last appointment of the day, but she was so attentive and really took the time to listen to my concerns and examine each of my boys. I didn't feel rushed at all, she was engaging, patient and very thorough. I left with all of my questions answered and with more knowledge than when I came in. Wonderful experience!

All of the doctors at Hales are incredible! We truly feel that no matter who we see, they always provide excellent and thoughtful care. Most recently, Dr. Gorman has saved my sanity dealing with an infant with chronic GI issues and has gone above and beyond for us. She is extremely responsive no matter the time of day or how much else I know she has going on. We love Hales!!

I have taken my daughters to Hales for the last 4.5 years. 2 of my daughters have complicated medical issues. I truly do not know how things would have played out without the intelligent, caring, and thorough care of Hales, particularly Dr. Oates. Her dedication to my girls has helped them to thrive. We receive amazing professional service with everyone we speak to on the phone and encounter in the office. I never feel rushed when meeting with the doctors, even if I have many concerns or questions. Dr. Oates cares for my daughters as if they were her own and my family is incredibly grateful. I can’t imagine a better pediatrician or practice and give the highest recommendation to anyone looking for a pediatrician for their child.

Is there a way to give 10 stars? As long as we live within 2 hours of New Orleans, we won't go to another pediatrician than Dr. Oates. She is an incredibly skilled clinician and a tremendously kind person. She has cared for each of our three children since birth. Dr. Oates' care and conservative treatment probably saved our oldest daughter's life. I spiked a fever immediately after birth. Dr. Oates, who had never met us before, looked at my chart and saw the fever, ordered a blood culture of my daughter, and had the hospital begin antibiotics on her. Her instinct was correct. Evidently, I had Strep B that went completely undetected when testing was done at 36 weeks. It passed to my daughter when she was born. Without Dr. Oates' intervention we would have brought my daughter home from the hospital having no idea that she had this infection that, if left untreated, could have turned into meningitis. We had to stay in the NICU for 10 days while my daughter was treated, but even that time was shorter because of Dr. Oates' decision to start my daughter on antibiotics immediately. My father-in-law who is a prominent physician out of state was amazed that Dr. Oates was so careful in her assessment of mother and baby that she caught the infection almost immediately. We are eternally grateful to her. 5 years and 2 more children later, Dr. Oates has helped us navigate bilirubin issues at birth for my other two kids. She has also kindly and patiently walked me through the every day worries that every parent goes through. Other pediatricians rely on their nurses to answer parent questions. But, anytime I have a concern, I leave a message for Dr. Oates and, within hours, I always get a call back from Dr. Oates personally. Honestly, it's amazing to me that someone who is so brilliant is also so personable and compassionate. The Hales staff is also incredibly efficient. I run my own law firm. Time is money for me. This doctor's office runs like a well-oiled machine. I'm never waiting for very long at all to see the doctor. At the same time, I also never feel rushed when Dr. Oates is examining my kids. She takes as much time as necessary to answer any questions or to address any concerns I have. This place and this doctor are truly a blessing to our family. As a parent who has been bringing little ones to Hales for over 5 years, I must say today's interaction was subpar from a patient care POV. I should not have to play the middleman between the provider and the pharmacist. I have a sick kid at home and the only thing needed is clear communication between the two to fill a simple prescription. And to be rushed off of the phone without assistance has led to this review. If there is an issue between the provider's office and the pharmacy, I should not be the one to rectify the issue. What ever happen to going above and beyond to provide great patient care?

Love Hales! We have seen a few Doctors in the practice and all have been fantastic! However, we are partial to Dr. Charles Haydel he's our favorite! Very caring and thorough. We have never waited long and love the fact that there are sick rooms to keep kids separate from Wellness kiddos to minimize exposure to them getting sick. It's a very personable Doctors visit. We will never go anywheres else!!!

Doctors have no empathy and rush you out of the offices. They move so fast to get to the next patient. We all tested positive with COVID and no one bothered to call and check on our children's condition. They didn't even properly go through the COVID protocols, I had to call another doctor friend for guidance. I won't even name the doctors, I'd hate to publicly shame them! We wont be returning to Hales. We'll find another doctor that cares about our kids health and well being.

Our three kids are patients at Hales Pediatrics. The oldest for over 13 years. The office staff, the doctors - all great!

We've been going to the office for nearly 7 years now with all my 3 children. It took me awhile to find a good pediatrician. We come here all the way from Westbank. I love that they have sick waiting room and a nursing waiting room. Toys and waiting area is always clean, front desk is always curtious and answers all the questions. I never had to wait too long for an appointment. Usually they would take a sick kid the very same day. Our favorite doctors are Dr. Haydel, Dr.Thomas and Dr.Gorman, my kids love them the most.
