Roger at Hall Madden helped me create a completely custom tuxedo for my wedding. The experience from start to finish was exceptional. Roger helped me make tasteful choices on everything from fit to fabric. As a big and tall guy, he made sure the tuxedo fit properly and was proportionate to my frame. He kept me updated throughout the entire process and when we experienced a slight delay in delivery, he communicated frequently on updates. I would highly recommend Hall Madden for any of your custom suit/tuxedo/formal wear needs. You will NOT be disappointed!

Amazing experience getting my first custom suit for my wedding. Had always bought suits off the rack so this was a new experience, but it makes a whole world of difference. Roger guided me through the design of the suit and was great even though I had no idea about most of the process. Through a couple of appointments we designed the perfect suit for my beach wedding and it came out amazing. I'm very slim and never had a suit fit so well before. Also bought a custom fit shirt which turned out great, and will probably return to get more of these. Took about 8 weeks total for the whole process so make sure you have time. Overall great experience and would highly recommend for anyone looking to step up their suit game!

It has taken me more than a year to write this review. Most would have simply forgotten and kept it moving. But it has taken me this long to decompress from the wedding, and how good I looked thanks to Hall and Madden. At any rate, I ended up at this location by mistake. Somehow, I thought I could go to Hall and Madden to rent a tuxedo for my wedding, so my father-in-law and I showed up to do just that. We met with Roger who is one of the best people you’ll ever meet. Very professional and knowledgeable. I had planned to do something else and really didn’t want to own a tuxedo because I’m a get dirty kinda guy and I’m a cheapo. However, the wedding date was closing in and I had to do something, so I said what the hey. It did come to me that I probably shouldn’t try to cut costs on one of the most important days of my life and that the event does deserve the best I could do. Now comes Roger, the person to help me achieve the look I wanted and would not land me in hot water with my new wife. A truly one of a kind look all the way down to the buttons. Roger was patient and listened carefully to the details I wanted and patiently went over countless options that fit my description. They have an extensive number of textiles and materials, and they even have a significant number of casual options, all available to be custom tailored to your liking. I had no idea how much tailor fit would make a difference in the look, but it is the only way to go. Hall and Madden is the only way to go when you want the absolute best custom look. Roger brilliantly measured my oddly shaped body and my suit didn’t require a single adjustment upon delivery, which was perfect despite a tight deadline. I danced for hours I this suit and everything stayed in place and looked wonderful still at the end of the day. The entire experience with Hall and Madden was perfect thanks to Roger. A unique experience with service and quality worth your time and worth your money and that’s a hard thing to find these days. Give Hall and Madden a shot, you won’t be disappointed!

We had appointments with other custom tuxedo tailors and were left unsatisfied with their service. When we got to Hall Madden, Roger was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and patient as we navigated the process. He helped us with every detail and delivered the perfect tuxedo. Would recommend him for any custom suit or tux that you may need.

I am not even sure where to begin with this experience...being a female and searching for a tux for my wedding was a struggle from the beginning. I am a short athletic built female so I will always need to have custom made suits. I went to four other stores before making the ridiculous drive to DC and I couldn't have been happier with the decision to have my tux made with Hall Madden. Roger is by far one of the most knowledgeable and professional individuals I've ever met in my life. On my first visit he coordinated with my wife to help surprise me with a visit from my mother out of state to attend my consultation. My second visit consisted of me being measured and choosing every detail of my tux all the way down to the buttons on my sleeves. During my second and third appointments he kept in contact with me helping me to choose the best shoe that would coordinate with my tux. Once my tux arrived in just 4 short weeks, we only had minor adjustments to make, because Roger got pretty darn close in my measurements. It took about 2 weeks for the final adjustments to be completed but during that time Roger was not pleased with the adjustments of my vest and he had a completely new vest made, shipped and delivered before my final fitting! On my wedding day I couldn't believe how it all came together! My wife and I had no idea what the other would look like but with the help of our family and Roger we coordinated so well that everyone thought we had purchased our tux and dress together! Roger will go above and beyond to ensure that you are not settling for anything when you walk into that store. He will give you ALL of the options and an array of price ranges, fabrics, colors, you name it! He will give you his honest professional opinion and ensure that you're completely happy with the outcome of your product. I will absolutely be working with him on more items to add to my wardrobe. I highly recommend Hall Madden for a quality suit or tux that will absolutely last you a lifetime!

Roger helped me design the perfect tux for my wedding! They had a wide range of fabrics and customized every aspect of my outfit to give me exactly what I had envisioned. The customer service was phenomenal and they really put in the extra effort to make sure I had a perfect fit. Roger helped me understand their process and took the time to talk to me about design and style and wear. I don't have much experience in the world of custom clothing so this was critical for me. I loved working with Roger! I visited him at the Dupont Circle location in D.C. to find the perfect blue suit for my wedding that would also give me flexibility to wear on the right occasions afterward. Roger has a keen eye for where and how the fabric should hang on you so that you both look your best and are comfortable. My custom suit and shirt arrived less than three weeks after I first came in, and everything fit so perfectly thanks to Roger's eye that follow up adjustments weren't even needed. Thanks, Roger!

I can't recommend Hall Madden and Roger highly enough! I went to 4-5 places looking for a wedding tux, and am so glad that someone finally recommended HM: Roger was more knowledgeable than everybody else I'd talked to, and the suits were the best combination of quality and price I'd encountered. If you're looking for a nice suit, I really recommend making an appointment!
