My first time there, the young man took great care of me. He found out what was wrong with my Air Conditioner. The price was spot on I'm very happy with their work and would recommend them if you have Air Conditioner issues.
I have been bringing my cars here for over 10 years and can count on getting it fixed correctly for a fair price. You deal with the owners here. They have lots of experience and a good ethic. Don't let the looks of the building or neighborhood fool you. In the past I have chased around town looking for someone to reliably fix auto AC. When I found them, I stopped looking.
It isn't the prettiest looking shop from the outside, or the inside. It's also right in the middle of a sketchy area of Columbus. Don't judge a book by it's cover as the owner has always done me right and does the repair right, and at a very competitive price. I'm sure the one star comment was just an angry customer that has high expectations of every shop expecting their car to get priority over the rest. That's just not how repair shops work, it's first come first served, no appointments. Just the way 90% of the repair shops I've been to work. This is one of two shops that I'll trust my car with in the area, and is normally my first pick due to their pricing. The other happens to be a tenth of a mile further in another direction, and is run by a good friend's father. If it says anything that I choose them over a shop that I know the owner, I think that should have something to say.
Truly excellent. We were traveling through the area and had a problem with the AC system. Found Hand's Auto on the web and thought we'd give them a try. The neighborhood's not the swankiest, but the team at Hand's is top notch. They slotted us in right away midday no less, and got the issue fixed correctly, quickly and affordably. And as a bonus - we all agreed that with the diagnosis ultimately of a leak in the front compressor seal the recharge would probably only hold for a week - we're starting week two now and still running strong. So thanks guys - you rock! Anyone in Columbus should not hesitate to go to Hand's - wish they were closer to us!
Hand’s has fixed my cars for over 30 years. They’re fantastic with older model cars especially air conditioning and heating repairs. Fast work and fair price.
Nice old guy. He does top notch QUALITY repairs. My ex recommend me to him years ago to have my old leaky 2 row radiator recore to a 3 row for my 64 Oldsmobile and recore a Modine radiator for my 440 69 Chrysler. Plus was the only on in town that could correctly cross reference a new heater core for the Oldsmobile while NAPA and all the other big box stores kept ordering the wrong part and giving me the shoulder shrug. I Will gladly drive a hour to the ghetto to have something done right.
i ve taken two different cars there. 1st my 2000 chevy malibu and it needed a fuel pump. Excellent at what he does. i had got a rental and planned to keep it for a week when he called me the next day and my car was ready. i have also taken a 02 kia sportage there needing a new radiator and once again these guys got me up and running in no time at a affordable rate very reasonable and great with the customers. i would take any of my future car problems to them i trust they will make the best effort to give me better experience then my last which was top notch with repairs. i love them. the hood is not so bad general people with gereal purpose you dont mean them harm they dont mean you any either.
It looks a bit sketchy on the outside and not in the nicest part of town, but it is without a doubt the only place I will take my car for repairs. Not only are they consistently cheaper than other auto shops, but the work is finished quicker and the quality of their work is equal if not better.
This place has bad attitude written all over it. It looks like a dump which fits in with the ghetto high crime neighborhood. No appointments... first come-first served only. The place is supposed to open at 9am but plan on waiting until someone decides to show up. Half of the tiny parking lot is taken up with a ghetto used car lot. They're good at advising what might be wrong with your car but don't seem willing to fix it at the time... you have to come back another day for that because they're too busy to get to it today.
I had an air conditioning leak and paid them to fill with freon and they forgot to add the leak dye. So when my air quit working again a week later I still don’t know where it’s leaking. Paid for nothing
