Hank's Oyster Bar

Grilled seafood was great. Very fresh and cooked perfectly. Was a little salty but it maybe good for some people. If you are on low sodium diet, please let the server know when you place the order. Dishes were also priced reasonably. For dinner, you can have it between $50-70 food + 1 drink. Their brunch menu looked very interesting. Will try it next time!

I’m just gonna call it “East-coast comfort food” at it’s finest! The oysters came out quick and very fresh. Great variety of oysters ranging from brine-y deliciousness to the delicate hint of the sea ones.. Plus don’t sleep on the lobster rolls and chowder, everything is good here!

Great Place !! We really had good time and good food ! We were seating in the terrasse upstairs and it is nice organized. We had a brunch. The tuna Tartare was delicious, spicy and well-balanced. The shrimp and grits is delicious, with some pieces of sausages. The Eggs Benedictines are sweet and tasty, very good as well. The Service was good, on time, good advices also. We had a good experience there and really good time ! We recommend this place !

Have to say this was a bit of a disappointing meal. The food was fine bit nothing particularly good. The service was food bur, again, not amazing. We had oysters and chowder for apps and then po'boys, fish and chips and oyster pasta. All was perfectly fine but a bit forgettable. And we were in and out within about 40 minutes. Feel mean giving an average rating but we wouldn't rush back at all.

This location is not idea for parking accessibility. The decor is modern and better than the old King St location. Staff customer service was great. Food was decent. I ordered the fish and chips and the fish was very fresh. You can tell they batter it in-house, though the old bay fries didn’t have much flavor. Fish was piping hot and fries were warm so that was disappointing. In all, decent lunch experience and I’d definitely come back.

Hank’s Oyster Bar is better than ever. Moving from their previous location may have cut down on randoms coming in, but the folks like us who seek them out, are rewarded. The oyster and drinks selections remain top notch. The food is just as good, if not better, than we remember. Highly recommend sitting on the roof when weather allows.

The food was delicious. So fresh and amazing. The seafood plateau is worth getting! Everything tasted amazing and definitely worth trying out. Our server was phenomenal and very attentive. He made us feel welcomed and made the overall dining experience great.

Love the new location for Hank’s in Old Town. They have a great rooftop dining area that offers views of the surrounding area. The brunch menu isn’t huge, but has some great options. The frittata was better than expected and the star of the show was the fried oyster on top of course, this is an oyster bar, after all. The huevos rancheros were also fantastic not mushy thanks to lightly frying the tortilla and using a thick refried bean mix. It looks like the rooftop is equipped for both the warm Virginia summers with fans but also the cooler seasons since they have outdoor heaters set up. If you haven’t tried it yet, give it a go. Definitely worth the trip. I want to come back for happy hour.

Just went by Hanks and they are have reopened! Grabbed some Happy Hour oysters. They were the best I've had in a long, long time. Shells were as clean as you can get, and the meat was separated from the shell. Cold, juicy, and amazing. I'll be coming back every chance I get.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No

From the moment we walked in, the hostess an African American woman was so welcoming. Our server Tony was awesome! He explained the dishes well, answered all of our questions, and checked on our table periodically. The deviled eggs were fantastic! Lobster bisque and clam chowder soup was good also. The fish sandwich is a star along with the Mac and cheese. A bit pricey for some of the items but when you add in the incredible service and taste level of the food, it was well worth the price!
