Restaurant of Authentic Chinese Noodles and Cuisines Finds New Home in Greenwich Village

NEW YORK, NY -- June 3, 2016 -- Hello New York, Hao Noodle and Tea by Madam Zhu’s Kitchen is arriving this Sunday, June 5, at 5:30 pm! Madam Zhu’s acclaimed Madam Zhu’s Kitchen team is proud to announce it is bringing its first-ever overseas restaurant across the ocean to Manhattan’s Greenwich Village in early June 2016.

Born in Beijing’s Financial District in 2008, Madam Zhu’s Kitchen is a critically acclaimed Chinese restaurant chain known for its masterfully curated authentic Chinese dishes ranging from Szechuan, Cantonese, Shanghainese, and etc. A finely renovated, art-filled, and relaxing dinning place, Madam Zhu’s Kitchen has attracted a cult following in Mainland China with its expanding restaurant chain in major Chinese cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, and Hangzhou.

“When I first arrived in New York five years ago, I fell in love with the city and the idea of opening a restaurant in town has planted a seed in my mind. I find myself a home here, and we have been looking for the right spot to open this restaurant for more than two years, and at last we’ve found it in the beautiful Greenwich Village.” says Madam Zhu, who has nearly twenty years of experience in restaurant business. “We are passionately in love of New York’s dynamic food culture, and are humbled and thrilled to bring Hao Noodle and Tea to Manhattan.”

With its fine Chinese dinning heritage, Hao Noodle and Tea is an integral part of the chain of Madam Zhu’s Kitchen restaurants in China. Until this fall, two more restaurants will be open in Beijing and Shanghai, adding to a total of eight. Hao Noodle and Tea is the first ever location overseas.

Hao Noodle and Tea by Madam Zhu’s Kitchen is located at 401 Avenue of Americas, between 8th street and Waverly, near the delicate and beautiful Jefferson Market Garden. This Greenwich Village location appealed to Hao Noodle and Tea for its stirring historical buildings and century long history of culture-rich and art-infused shopping and food destinations that enjoyed by local New Yorkers and visitors alike.

Madam Zhu--who is also a passionate and experienced art collector and interior designer--has designed all her Chinese restaurants in China herself, Hao Noodle and Tea space is without exception. She has carefully picked colors, art works, materials, and selected furnitures for the restaurant to create a space that guests would consider a relaxing and tranquil living room to dine in. The bowls and plates are specially designed by award-winning designer and made to meet lead free standard.

For the past two years, Madam Zhu and her team of experienced chefs have researched extensively and tested numerous times for the Hao Noodle and Tea menus. Following the successful example of their Chinese restaurants, Hao Noodle and Tea’s menus will change every season with additions of seasonal specials to signature dishes such as Sweetly Smoked Sole, Szechuan Chicken, and Glazed Cantonese Chicken. The menu will also showcase numerous kinds of authentic Chinese noodles such as Dan Dan Noodles, Minced Pork Noodles, and Hot Pot Beef Noodles. Along with the food menu, is a drink menu featuring several kinds of premium Chinese tea and proper tea making manuals.
