Harbor Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Dr. Hinz and the entire staff at both the Tacoma and Gig Harbor locations made getting my wisdom teeth out as pleasant an experience as possible. The front desk staff were friendly and flexible when I requested to reschedule an appointment, and also impressed me by guiding me through the paperwork and financing of my surgery. The dental support staff easily answered my questions and seemed genuinely happy and interested in my well being. There were plenty of toys for my young nephew to play with in the waiting room, and they gave my sister, who was driving me home, an accurate time estimate of how long my surgery would take. I went in on a Friday, so I got to experience all the staff in "spirit" football gear- even Dr. Hinz was sporting a Seahawks jersey! Dr. Hinz and his staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. They used a topical numbing spray before placing my IV. I went under anesthesia while chatting with Dr. Hinz about my career aspirations and the importance of humanities in medicine. Although I don't remember much about after my surgery, I do recall the staff being patient with my loopy, repetitive questions, and how an assistant escorted me to my car. According to my sister, they gave detailed follow up care information. They even sent me home with raspberry sorbet and applesauce! The evening of my surgery, Dr. Hinz called me from his personal number to check in and make sure I knew how to contact him if I was experiencing unexpected pain or complications. Tomorrow, I go in for my follow up, which the staff made sure to schedule with me before I went under anesthesia and became lost to the world. If you need to have oral surgery done, this is the place to go.

Dr Hinz & staff not only went more than above & beyond for me but within 24 hours I've had such a drastic turn around from the pain that I can enjoy my holiday. He saved Christmas for me!

incredible, efficiant , kind , professional and compassionate. The best oral surgeon Ive ever been too. Dr Hinz is extremely competent, and truly able to take care of any oral surgeon needs . He's the best.

I had my wisdom teeth extracted one week ago by Dr. Hinz. He and his crew were nothing but kind, friendly and extremely informative throughout the entire consult, extraction and follow up. Dr. Hinz even called the night after my surgery to check on how I was doing and to answer any questions. How many doctors in today's society do that? The entire experience was better than I thought it would be and better then most individuals'. For any oral and/or macillofacial needs/problems I would highly recommend the amazing staff at Harbor Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Gig Harbor, WA.
