Delicious food and great service. The bison tartare is now on my top 5 list for tartare in the twin cities and the bernaise as well. We had the steak frites and bauru as our entrees which were both really good. We will definitely be back!
Nestled in a hidden brownstone building with a cute entrance is where you would find Harriet Brasserie. The interior is classic and charming with a full bar and several tables for dining. The hostess who is also our waitress was attentive, polite, and patient; especially when it took us a long time to decide on what to order when my guest and I got chatting trying to catch up. The high ceiling and wide windows let wonderful natural light in which really let the decor shine with characters on each wall and a well displayed stocked bar. Though limited seating, the vibe of the place is comfy and welcoming. For brunch, I order the quiche lorraine made with bacon, onion confit, and gruyere. This dish was buttery smooth and fluffy with a great balance of savory flavors. I've had several quiche lorraines at many places for brunch, this one at Harriet Brasserie is one of my top 3 favorites in the twin cities. My guest had the tostadas with two eggs, crispy tortillas, pinto beans, salsa, queso fresco, avocado, and lettuce. Though the dish looks light in weight, the amount of pinto beans were plenty and filling. This dish was light in flavors but fills you up quickly. Wish I had ordered a drink from their menu or bar but that just means I need to go back for dinner. Overall, I would recommend this place for the atmosphere and to try some of their interesting dishes while sipping on a beverage. If a cozy dining space is not your thing, this place may not be for you.
Brunch - Don't get me started on how good that cinnamon roll was. My God, it didn't even get a chance, for a photo, after tasting that frosting. My breakfast was amazing, as well. It's a quaint place with a chill vibe. 10/10 recommend!
Great breakfast options! Very friendly staff here as well. A little cold if you sit by a window. Serving breakfast daily which is nice. I’ll be back to try the duck tacos!
Love this place especially on a sunny Saturday evening. The risotto, pesto pasta, and cheese plate with grilled bread are three of my favorite dishes. My husband is however partial to the fish and chips. The vibe is always fun and the wait-staff super friendly. It's great for a family dinner or casual dinner date. Highly recommend!
Went there for brunch. Got the fish and chips with the fancy tar tar sauce. The sauce was all acid and no fat. A terrible tar tar sauce. The fish was not crispy at all. Fries were okay, a little soft. For the price it was a huge disappointment. Service was pretty good though. Location was great.
I've always most enjoyed restaurants which are establishments. Visit this place for the first time or again after a long hiatus and you'll quickly understand this is an establishment. Variety is the spice of life, but after a Visit to Harriet Brasserie you will question the frequency at which youre going elsewhere. Beautiful place, beautiful people!
Unpretentious food cooked to perfection! Our beet salad was fruity, nutty and cheesy. The fries were cooked in something miraculous! Great lunch!
The best of the best! Excellent staff, incredible mix of food from Brazil, France, Mexico and other countries. All in historic building. Yes! I recommend
The food was different and delicious. The atmosphere was very rustic and "instagram-worthy". I deducted two stars because a racist told me and my friends "Welcome to our country" because we are all Asians and nobody said anything to defend us so definitely not POC friendly. P.S. We've lived here for 5-10 years.
