First of all, the mask requirement is absurd. I can guarantee none of the employees wear a mask anywhere but at the office. Please end it. Second: I was told, over and over again, to arrive at 6:45 for my 7:00 a.m. appointment. I dutifully arrived at 6:45, and was checked in. It was 7:05 20 minutes later that a nurse brought me back and checked me. I then waited an ADDITIONAL 25 minutes for the doctor to arrive. The reason I booked an appointment first thing in the morning was so that I wouldn't HAVE to wait for the doctor. You know why? Because the LAST time I was there, he too 45 minutes to show up. I figured he'd be ready to go for his first appointment of the day. I got a shingles shot, then had to have blood drawn. The phlebotomist handed me a clipboard that I had to take to the front desk so now I'm working as a messenger, too. After waiting another 10 minutes to be seen at the front desk, I complained to the receptionist. He simply shrugged and said "Things happen." "THINGS HAPPEN"??? Sure, things happen in the middle of the day, when five previous patients have taken longer than expected. "Things" should not happen for the first appointment of the day. And I certainly should have received more than a shrug from the receptionist. This office needs to get on the ball. Show up promptly for patients, and apologize when they are made to wait. And get rid of the idiotic mask requirement. It does nothing but virtue signal.
Dr McMillan is exceptional in every way! She listens, she asks questions and she makes sure you can understand everything. The on-site lab technicians are remarkable, too! They're quick, so you're not waiting around. You also get to wait in your car until you're called to the back for your appointment, so you don't need to sit around sick people waiting.
I used to love going to this doctors office especially to see Dr Nguyen. In May, I needed to get a physical done for a new job I was going to be starting, so I scheduled the physical with the doctor who had an appointment available. Dr. Naryanan was the only one who had appointments available so I scheduled with her. Not only did I hear her talking to the nurse about how I wasn’t her patient and why was I scheduling with her, when she came into the room she made some comments about my weight because she saw the engagement ring on my finger, she told me “we’re going to do some blood work to see why you’re gaining so much weight, you don’t want all that weight on you in your wedding photos”, I was 5 months PP and she knew I just had a baby because she asked to see a picture of him on my phone. On top of that I was on birth control which was making me gain weight. I found this extremely offensive and inappropriate for a Doctor to say. I am now leaving the practice and going elsewhere, somewhere I won't be called “fat” and judged for my baby weight.
Dr. Pittman is by far the best. I referred so many family members to this establishment. What ever is going on she will get you better. Very patient and understanding.
I've seen multiple physicians at Harrisburg Family Physicians and they've all been excellent. Gloria White is my primary and she's one of the best doctor's I've ever been to.
Dr. Narayanan is wonderful. She really goes above and beyond for her patients. I finally feel like I have a doctor who will actually listen to me.
No respect for your time. Show up on time. Pre filled out paperwork online. Get put in a room and wait 45 minutes before being seen. Disrespectful of one's time. Dr was polite and helpful.
Never had an issue with seeing someone other than my primary care doctor. All really listened and cared about my health and concerns. My PCP is Dr. Pittman! She's the best. The other doctors are good as well. You can't wrong with any doctor at Harrisburg Family Meds.
Every physician I have seen her has been wonderful. Dr. Anderson is the best, and has helped me more than she knows! The front end staff is great. I have never had any problems throughout my many years of going here. Everything I could ask for and more. I always recommend them when somebody is looking for a new group. I just wish the appointment times were a little closer..
Dr. Carter is very professional and trustworthy! Smart, cautious, attentive, informed, and nice. Very in tune with patients! I'm typically wary/cautious when doctors, but he's given nothing but green flags and reassurance. Easy to contact and great to work with! Been a patient for years and I know I can always trust his care. Great doctor and great practice!
