As a real estate sales and vacation rental agency in Stowe and the surrounding area, we've relied upon Hartigan many times. They've always done a stellar job solving our problems whether it was for scheduled requests or emergency situations. Their detailed records on every home they service really help in keeping guess work from running up unnecessary charges. Two of their technicians recently visited a property (separately) to conduct detective work to determine the source of a smell a tenant was experiencing. The each went the extra mile to test every possible source of the problem and made recommendations for the next course of action when the odor turned out to be to related to the septic system. The technicians are polite, courteous and reliable. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

My experience with Hartigan was AMAZING! My septic failed on a Sunday morning. When I called, the answering service was friendly and efficient and totally responsible. Within a half hour, the pump truck was here and working on the problem. The driver, Mike, was smart, clear about what I was and was not dealing with, direct about pricing so I knew what to expect, friendly, and warm. I needed another service as well and Mike shepherded it, making sure the job was done thoroughly. The second driver, Eric, arrived quickly, too, and soon my problem was totally fixed! The follow-up from Ann in the main office the next day, was also wonderful. She was clear and exceedingly reasonable about the charges, and was warm and friendly while being efficient. Hartigan is TOTALLY on my go-to list if I have problems again. And I'm recommending them like crazy to friends and family!

Possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with. For the three months that I used their port-o-let I had to continually call to get them to service it. The $100 a month rate was supposed to include weekly servicing but the service was not performed. Promised calls to have a supervisor call me went unmade. One weekend the port-o-let was full of bugs and the stench was unimaginable. I kick myself for not having the port-o-let removed and not going with another company. I will NEVER do business with this company again. Do yourself and your family a favor and hire someone else! Terrible company!!

Hartigan baled me out big time. The morning I needed to be with my mom at the hospital for surgery was the morning I couldn't take a shower and flush the toilet without gurgling and the dreaded overflow. Once mom was headed to the O.R., I called and the staff was so caring and considerate and promised to send someone that day. I gave them my credit card number and sure enough, the technician arrived and took care of the problem - after 6:00 PM. I was surprised to see a bill in the mail a couple of days later. Since I had given them my credit card number, I called to find out what was going on. There was a mistake in the number so the card was rejected but they sent the tech anyway. I so appreciate the customer service that went above and beyond.

Good Service, Knowledgeable Staff. Hartigan had service records extensive enough to know exactly where my septic was located, and the maintenance guy was nice enough to give me advice to take good care of my septic system.
