Heartland Area Federal Credit Union

This credit union fails to take responsibility for its own errors and seeks to profit off members who have died by providing misinformation on what is necessary to put the account in stasis or notify the beneficiary to family members. While the amount in the account was small it may have made a difference to the beneficiary. Do not trust them with your money.

Not a share type credit union. It is not a member of the cooperative with other credit unions that allows out of town travellers access funds while away from their home region. Entrance security gives the impression of being located in an unsafe area. No atm.
