Listen to the 1-stars I've never had a tip laughed at in my face. Especially after being massaged by someone who doesn't know what they're doing. In China Town, I start with a 30 minute massage. If it's good, I upgrade to 60 or 90. But you never know what you're going to get so I start small. This massage was 30 minutes of back scratching and line drawing. At one point I wondered if I was supposed to guess what letters she was drawing on my back! She asked me if I wanted to keep going, I said, "No thanks." Then I get dressed in front of her and she walks me out. She asks me to pay cash, which I didn't have any. Then she said, "You pay with card but tip in cash." I had literally 4 dollars. Which is more than I thought the 30 minute massage was worth. But when she saw I didn't have much cash, she asked me to tip her on the card. As she swiped my card I asked: "What kind of massage was that?" Her: Regular. Me: No, was it Swedish, Thai, Shiatsu? Her: No, just regular. Me: .... thinking you have no idea what you're doing. She handed me the receipt. I gave her a $7 tip. that's almost 25% She grabbed the receipt from me and said, "How much you tip?" looked at the receipt and literally said to my face, "This tip no good." Then both her and the woman next to her started laughing. I wanted to fart as loud as I could in their lobby then helicopter spin with my arms out. That's the only response I could think would dignify such a terrible experience. But my tank was on empty. So this review will have to do.
I've been coming here for two years and absolutely love it. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Ming is a wizard and gets all the tension out of my body, and is so welcoming and kind! All of the staff are very friendly. They also offer acupuncture here which I highly recommend. If you have some SERIOUS issues, ask for Peter to do your massage-- but be warned, he's a powerhouse! The price is perfect and I am always happy with how I feel after I leave. Hidden gem in the city!
The massage was okay , the lady applied way too much pressure dispite being told it was too painful at times. The facial felt like something I could do to myself at home. Then after paying $90 for massage and facial I tried to pay with my debit card they charge $7 If you use your card ...then on top of that she rudley DEMANDS you tip her , tips are based on service .You don't demand a tip of what you want.
Relax body and mind
A fantastic place!
