Hefner Grill

Not sure how I've missed out on this place for so long. GREAT location and GREAT food! My adventure started with the Peach Sangria and I would have been happy with that sole encounter, but I was lucky enough to be talked into food. Our dining consisted of the New Orleans Bayou Shrimp, the Classic Burger and the Lobster Roll. My tasty treat was the Lobster Roll and I was instantly reminded of indulging on lobster roll's in New England. Which is not easy to do, so hat's off to you Chef! The others raved about their dishes as well but I was so delighted with my meal that I didn't dare spoil the decadent taste that the lobster left behind. The only thing that would have made this experience better would have been finding a way to smuggle out a pitcher or three of that amazing Peach Sangria. Do yourself a favor and treat yo'self to a cocktail! Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!

Couldn't have asked for a better seat. Had a great view of the lake without the sun blinding my wife and me. Had the Crispy Calamari, Fish and chips, and the Cedar Plank Salmon. We thought it was good. The environment is excellent. We also caught the sunset after dinner with a short walk outside.Food: 5/5

I had high expectations based on the glowing reviews, but my experience was quite disappointing. The tuna tartare was poorly presented, indicating a lack of skill from the chef. I ordered a salad with ranch dressing, but it arrived without any dressing. When I requested ranch, the staff was unhelpful and dismissive. The pecan fried trout with mashed potatoes was another letdown. The potatoes were ice cold, and the fish was barely warm, suggesting poor coordination in the kitchen. Additionally, the constant rotation of five different servers made the service feel disorganized and impersonal. Overall, the experience fell far short of what I anticipated.

Over the top service! Before I get to the food I have to talk about the service and atmosphere. The service was over the top. You are greeted at the door, and once seated there is someone checking on your service every few minutes; to make sure your food is delivered promptly, your drinks are kept full and you are happy with everything. The atmosphere is relaxing and very comfortable. You can have a view of the lake in a cozy booth with overstuffed cushions that make feel like you are sitting on your couch at home. The food was excellent. I saw a picture of their Shrimp Louie Salad and had to give it a try. It was as good as it looked! My wife had a club with fries. The fries were great and the sandwich was a tasty generous portion. This place is so relaxing and with wonderful food that you won't want to leave.

We enjoyed our first visit to Hefner's. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The view of the lake was very relaxing. The food was excellent. Our server, Spencer, was attentive and fun to talk to. And we absolutely loved the live jazz trio.Food: 5/5

I rented the private dining and gazebo for my 50th birthday party. The experience was phenomenal. They allowed us to decorate early to set up for the party. The service was amazing. If you look for great place to have an event Hefner grill is it!!!Food: 5/5

Great veiw of the lake while eating. Plenty of lake side tables. Grouper was amazing and so was the bun. I really enjoyed the coleslaw. Probably the best I ever had. Ceaser salad with Salmon was very good as well. Large portions. Thank you for the great service e here. I am sure I will be back to try other entrées.Food: 5/5

We've been twice, and will be back again. Affordable upscale dining with beautiful views of the lake. Got immediately seated with no reservations on Father's Day. The food tasted great, waiter was extremely attentive. Our daughters got the pasta which was too spicy for them, and they took it back and got them something else no questions asked. Heads up to the parents though, they use the same Cajun-like alfredo for the kids pasta as the regular one and it does have a kick to it. I would advise to put a warning on the menu since most kids are spice sensitive. Their new dishes were great and came out fast though! They even gave me a complimentary Father's Day cake! Lovely seafood restaurant on Hefner lake. Excellent service. Big portions for European standards. Tasty food - we had calamari, fish and chips, teriyaki mahi and the local soup and house salad, all delicious.Food: 5/5

I enjoyed myself the first time i came here more than this visit. I ordered the Mahi Mahi entrée and it was very dry. I did enjoy the appetizer we ordered, the crab dip. I would still recommend coming here, just maybe get something else.Food: 3/5
