Helen Frushtick Furs

Worst place to store furs. State they store in "cold storage". It is cooler, in the back of the shop on my deck outside. They lose your furs, by claiming they sent them to a bigger storage place. They charge you for storage, and can't find the pieces you stored there. They do not answer the phone, it depends if they are open on wether the owner feels like showing up. She has medical problems and does not feel good some days. Poor management, irresponsible, can not keep track of your furs. Never store or use this place. Other reviews have stated that furs they stored there were damaged or lost. Should have listened to the review.

Happy with my purchase. Great staff. Very accommodating. They offer pick up and delivery on storage cleaning and glazing.

The people at this fur shop really know their business. One of the only places I have ever been that actually know how to make an old fur look like new. They even store your coats in the summer so they stay nice.

I was reluctant to leave this review because I do not like to speak ill about anyone's small business however, as a consumer, I felt it important to do so. I was given my late mother-in-law's mink jacket by my father-in-law after her passing. The jacket sleeves were extremely tight so in December of 2015 my husband and I took it to Helen Frushtick Furs for alterations and paid $450.00 down payment to secure the service. At the same time, I also gave them a mink hat, given to me by my mother to alter as well. Both these pieces had great sentimental meaning. We were promised a late February 2016 completion date. After not hearing from them, we called and they said we could come in and try on the fur. I went in 3 times to try on the fur before it was adequately altered. My hat was not available 2 of the 3 times and on the third visit, they tried to get me to take it and pay the balance without it being complete with fur on the extension and without my mink jacket completed. I refused and stated the hat was incomplete and I wanted to pick up both pieces together, just as I had dropped them off together, before paying the balance. I left both pieces there. The next week near the end of April, I received a call from Helen stating she needed the balance on our repair because the vendors had to be paid. My husband shared with her that we were certainly ready to pay her as soon as both my pieces were complete and ready for pick up. She became very irate and then I spoke with Helen and shared the same feelings as my husband. She then accused us of "extortion" because we would not pay her the balance on our service until the work was complete. We were appalled and felt totally disrespected. She finally accepted what we told her and at the end of the conversation said "I'm hanging up"! We thought "how rude and unprofessional"! Needless to say, I received a call the next week stating my jacket and hat were ready for pickup. We went to pick up both pieces that same day and the alterations were done well. Helen offered to store our garments over the summer, but we have not received and apology. At that point, I was so outdone, I did not and will not in the future want to do business with Helen Frushtick Furs again!

VERY DISHONEST BUSINESS, STAY AWAY! My mom came to visit me in the US we are both from Brazil and I currently live in the US. She brought her fur coat with her and decided to get it cleaned and to adjust the sleeves as well. We went to Helen Frushtick Furs and our first impression was great. It seems to be a family business and we talked for a long time to 3 different ladies, including Helen. We paid in advance - $90.00 for the cleaning and $25.00 to fix the sleeves. 13 days after dropping the coat at Helen`s, I went there to pick it up. The coat was cleaned but they didn`t fix the sleeves. I never got a call or anything like that to let me know the coat was not ready. I even went there 1 week after the date they told me the coat was going to be ready. As my mom was leaving on the next day, there was no more time to wait so I simply requested the $25.00 I`ve paid to fix the sleeves. Fair enough to me as the service wasn`t done, correct? One of the ladies immediately told me that they don`t do refund but I could get a credit of $25.00 and use it next time. They were aware since day one that my mom was here only for few days so $25.00 credit wouldn`t work, I needed full refund. Am I asking for too much? They didn`t do the service so please give me my money back. Long story short, the sleeves were not fixed and I didn`t get my money back. Very frustrating to deal with dishonest and non-customer service oriented people. There are plenty of furriers in Atlanta,GA so please take your business somewhere else and go deal with decent people.

Didn’t do what they said they were going to do, it wasn’t ready when they said it would be, they said they called and never did and increased price.

I love my mink coat!
