Hello India

I recently visited Hello India in Portland's Hawthorne Street and was thoroughly impressed with my dining experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and the decor was charming, with traditional Indian accents adding to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. The menu had a great selection of dishes, ranging from classic curries to more innovative creations. I opted for the Malabar Chicken curry and the Lamb Bhuna - the spices were perfectly balanced and the chicken and lamb were cooked to perfection. The portion size was also generous, leaving me feeling satisfied but not overly stuffed. In addition to the fantastic food, the service was top-notch. Overall, I would highly recommend Hello India to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Indian cuisine in Portland. Whether you're a seasoned Indian food connoisseur or new to the cuisine, you won't be disappointed by the offerings at Hello India.

The most AMAZING Indian food experience in all of Portland! Absolutely incredible and outstanding customer service. A special thank you to Raj who was very kind along with his entire team. The owner was EXTREMELY kind and patient, he kept the restaurant open longer for us to finish our food. We will be coming back in every week!

Food was delicious. First time having indian food and the taste was packing with flavors. Wouldve been 5 star but the guy was being very persistant that we pay in cash.

Very kind and accommodating staff. The pricing and portions are what you'd expect in Portland but the food is pretty good. The outside is boarded up due to a robbery but they are open and happy to serve up fresh meals. The inside is nice with new paint and plenty of space. The best part is that there is hardly ever a wait. Hello India is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and have a craving.

Wonderful food! I got the shahi navratan korma, lamb curry, and malabar masala, with garlic naan. It was so good I got distracted eating it and forgot to take a pic! The portions may seem small but they are so filling there's always enough to bring home with me and enjoy the next day. The food is flavorful and spiced to perfection! The meat is always cooked perfectly and melts in your mouth in the best possible way. I like how late they are open too, every time I end up trying to decide somehwere to eat last minute, I always end up here! The service is wonderful too, they always help me decide what to get and how to eat it. I love that there is information on where the foods come from as well. Cannot recommend this place enough! Vegetarian options: The shahi navratan korma was so flavorful and just as filling and spiced as the meat items. I have not had any of the other vegetarian options but I assume they would all be similar in that way.

This restaurant is AMAZING! I love the kashmani not sure I spelled that right naan, mango chicken, vegetable samosas, and chicken tikka masala! I’ve tried many many things here and it is all so delicious. Best Indian food you’ll find for sure! The service is fantastic, the atmosphere is family friendly and classy. Great for a date night, family dinner, or girls night! Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options! Kid-friendliness: Family friendly! The staff is AMAZING! Parking: Parking is around the corner and easy to access!

Stopped by Hello India with my mom. Immediately greeted by our server Raj and seated. The atmosphere is incredible chill with beautiful music playing. Big selection of wonderful food. Mom got the chicken biryani and could not stop making yummy delicious noises. I got the butter chicken and completely satiated my appetite. This is not a quick in and out place. This is a place to take your time and enjoy.

This place is my favorite in town, the staff is super friendly a nice, the food is AMAZING and not hella expensive. I just can’t say enough good things about this place but if I had to sum it up I’d say “immaculate vibes” I’m actually eating here as I type this

The staff was so lovely to our large group when we dined there! My favorite dish was the chicken tikka masala! Very good!
