Reviews
Review is for the club, not the restaurant. Good music, fun Latin vibes. Solid female:male ratio, so expect to pay up as a guy, but tables were not THAT expensive as far as the area goes. Was packed on a Saturday night and a fun time.
Outstanding restaurant. Can’t understand some low reviews. The ceviche was great, pleasantly surprised. The wine pairings were delicious. And live flamenco music! Great place to visit again. Edit: the owners should really split this Google Maps location in two - one for the restaurant, one of the club. Get the right star review for each place.
Collectively, we tried over half the cocktails on the menu, and they were all excellent. The food surpassed my expectations, the staff was friendly, and the vibe was extremely fun. The lounge downstairs with a DJ was great post-dinner. Will 100% be back
Food, drink & service were all phenomenal. Turns out we were there for their annual Burgundy dinner which also happened to be a “Wine Wednesday”. Prix fixe menu was awesome. Great way to sample several things from the menu and also enjoy perfect wine pairings. Definitely worth a visit! Especially on Wednesdays for the live flamenco band which absolutely crushed it. Great time!
This is a 2 parts review because I believe you need to be aware of the difference in service from one night Wednesday to another Saturday and from one floor top to another lower level. I went there with my husband on a date night for “Wine Wednesday” on the top floor. What an incredible experience with live flamenco music, delicious food paired with exquisite wine chose by the sommelier. I knew I found the perfect restaurant to celebrate with a big group my friend’s 50th birthday! Fast forward to last night Friday where my group of 15 originally 16 had to share a big but not big enough table for all 15 of us. We didn’t care about this too much, it only meant that we were closer to each other. With not enough candle lights to appreciate the dishes or even know what we were eating family style service, the waiters were too rushed to drop the appetizers salad, steak tartare, and ceviche and later on the main entrees chicken, steak, and mushrooms and equally rushed to remove them and clear the table. Although we paid $75 each for dinner plus $85 for cocktails as part of a fixed price, the food was not enough. I seriously thought I was still eating appetizers when we were already having the main course - let me clarify that I wasn’t even drinking since I’m running NYC marathon this Sunday so I can say I was fully aware of the quantity. The food was good but nothing to write home about - a bit more credit to the desert. People enjoyed the cocktails especially the Carmencita. While we still had $500 remaining in credit to use towards alcohol. We were then asked to leave the table and move to the bar area when in reality no other customers made use of the table for the rest of the night. My group started dancing and enjoying the amazing music from the DJ. By the time we paid, we were charged for the 16th person when I told them from the beginning that we were down one person. So after rectifying the check, we still ended up paying $9 more per person $169 from what we originally agreed to $160. All and all, if you want to try this place…I recommend to either go to the top floor on a Wednesday night and you won’t be disappointed. Your other option is to have a nice dinner else where and hit the ground floor after 11pm for amazing Carmencita and other cocktails dancing the night away with the great Latin music from the DJ.
I went to this restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday. We were drawn by the option to have dinner and stay at the restaurant to party since we were told there was a DJ on saturday night. We paid $200/person for dinner/drinks and were then told we had to pay another $200/person to go downstairs to party. We managed to negotiate this down to $150/person which is still outrageous. We ended up going somewhere else instead. The food is very average. Not worth your money. The cocktails were good and the restaurant had a good vibe. My recommendation: find another place for your birthday celebration. This place is a bit of a scam.
Great place for partying, really good Drinks and good music. Price are little expensive. Entry fee of 150 on Drinks per men when I went.
This is my favorite restaurant / party place in Soho!! Hands down!! I’ve been a loyal customer of HNWC since they opened at the end of 2018 - beginning of 2019, and even went to their pop up in Tulum on November 2020, which was amazing! I’ve tried everything in their food, cocktails and wine list menu. Therefore, I recommend this restaurant 100%; specially their brunch on Saturdays, Wine Wednesdays, Latin Party on Saturday night with famous DJs such as Cruz Latin Grammy winner or PJ. If you like electronic/ house music then go on a Thursday or Friday night and you’ll find DJs such as: Nacho Isa, Gaspar Muniz or Fireware. You will always have a good time there! The staff is super friendly, polite and courteous. The bouncers are very selective, but once you’re in, you will love it and would want to go back again!
Such a fun place for a night out! The speakeasy really gives an air of old New York juxtaposed with Latino music and more modern decorations.
The place has potential. The ambiance was great. However, the service was terrible. The hostess was rude and disrespectful. She was yelling at some customers and called someone “poor”. My friend approached her and said “Hola, I have a question” and she put her hand in front of his face and said in what felt like a very discriminatory way “Only speak to me in English!”. This was after we spent a ton of money at this place. Needs better management and staff who know how to treat customers with respect.
