Heritage Hats

Wonderful local business of the kind that’s disappearing everywhere else. Wall to wall hats in several rooms. I spent about a half hour trying on at least 50 hats making sure I got the perfect fit and look I wanted. Most of the collection are cowboy hats and other full brimmed hats. My particular tastes are the old fashion flat caps that were popular in the early 1900s. The store had the widest selection of various flat caps styles from around the world and made to a higher quality than the few pickings I find in department stores. The owner was very kind and helpful and also left me alone to browse and make my selection. Highly recommend if you looking for that perfect hat or collection of hats. And if you’re in the Southwest under this blazing Arizona sun, you’re gonna need at least one hat. They also do repairs.

I found Mr. Glisson's store online when I needed a top hat re-sized. I also brought in an inherited fedora from the early part of the last century. He cleaned and blocked them both for a very reasonable price. They both fit better than they ever had, and my old fedora (which has great sentimental value) looked new. Heritage Hats not only provides an excellent product but a superlative customer experience. I returned to shop for a new western hat and he kindly steered me away from one I was considering to a superior hat for the same price. He took the time to help me choose a custom hat band and made sure the hat fit comfortably, reassuring me that should I need sized i could bring it back (which I did) and he would re-fit it at no charge. It is refreshing and sadly, unusual to find a merchant that prides himself on furnishing quality products with one on one service in this world of cold unfeeling "just give me your money and get out" non-service. Just one more reason to buy local! By all means stop in and check out his incredible selection of hats, all styles all colors. If he doesn't have it in stock he can order or make it for you. He is the Hat Master!!

I have purchased 2 hats here over a 4 year period and I can say the service and the knowledge of the owner is indispensable. Recently I was going to purchase a certain Panama hat that I had casually picked out but he stopped me and insisted that he take a look at the way it sat on my head . I am glad he did because it really was a poor fit. We went back and looked again and he showed me another one that actually fit me much better. And to top that off he steamed it slightly to conform to my head even better and it looked great as well. Much better than my original pick. There's 2 things that should fit well in life, a good pair of boots and a well fitted hat. Thank you Heritage Hats.

Been meaning to check this place out and finally made it over there today. Excellent selection and service. Two rooms of hat heaven! Rich was friendly and helpful; he stain proofed the hats I purchased for no charge and gave some great hat care pointers. Will definitely be back.

I was looking to buy my first proper cowboy hat and I’m so glad I found Heritage Hats. They have a huge selection and different styles. I spent at least an hour just looking at all the hats there. Rich was super helpful and patient with me while I picked through hats and asked him about different options. It’s obvious he takes pride in his work and you will have a genuine experience here, more so than going to a hat outlet. I would recommend Heritage Hats a hundred times over.
