It was a nightmare experience with this rental site. First it was very hard to get there - we took a cab using the address but was dropped off at a wrong place - its actual location was off from GPS map by quite a bit. When we finally found the Hertz desk inside the casino which did not have any clear sign of Hertz and most people there did not know its existence at 1:30pm, the desk was closed,, but the rental email confirmation from Hertz saying it opens 7am-1pm and 2pm-5pm. I waited until 3pm and called Hertz reservation center and what they offered was a new reservation at the airport with a downgraded car for a price more than twice than my original reservation. I ended up making a reservation with a different company and wasted more than 5 hours on this mess.
I gave this place one star because is the minimum allow but even one star is to much for them. First if you read this means don't even try to book a car here because it doesn't exist. This office is open in their web allowing you to book a car but when you came tu pick it up, Surprise.... there's no place to claim your booking.when I called them to the 1800 they offered me another car in other location with different amount250 over the price I paid Unacceptable. This guys destroy all my plans for my girlfriends birthday making me canceled my road trip to gran canyon and horseshoes bend because there was no car available for rent for a reasonable price in any agency in Las Vegas on Friday 03/12 I will never rent a car with the agency again. Be aware of this place it doesn't exist, however they keeping it open as one of there locations.
Reservation was not ready at expected time of 8 am. Even though they open at 7:00 am. Explanation was that we booked at 6:30 night before. SO instead of looking at reservations from prior day when the person got in, they did who knows what... Got car 45 minutes after reserved time. Car was returned in same condition, gas filled up, before scheduled time. Today I received an email with final charges and somehow a charge for $130 got on there for cracked windshield. THere was no cracked windshield. After calling them today I was told there was a cracked windshield. I asked for a picture and was told that "I'm busy now with reservations but I will try to go take the picture myself later". Who charges a customer for something without sending proof at the same time? Seem like this exact scenario happened to someone who commented down below. Awaiting resolution. Not cool. Edit 3/17/2020: It is now a month later and after numerous emails to the Hertz attendant, as well as her superior - no response. Very poor experience. Avoid at all cost.
Overall good experience. First time I arrived I had to wait a few minutes in the somewhat hidden away alcove labeled East Elevators that houses the Hertz desk. First car provided was a 2 door when a 4 door was requested, but I was easily switched out with a good, clean car. Upon return, I found I needed to leave the keys in an express box with my contract, which I had left in the room. I had to come back a second time to leave the keys with the contract, when I found the express box broken into. So I had to return a third time the next morning, since I wasn't about to leave the keys in an open box. Overall good experience, if not for the hectic return and hard-to-find desk.
Had a hard time finding the place. Its actually inside the hilton. They only have 1 rep there to help everyone so you might spend time waiting. Other than that had a good experience.
Great location to hire from on the Strip, and with key drop out of hours makes for a convenient place to hire and return from. We pre booked our rental which was ready to go at 7am for a driving trip to the Grand Canyon. We hired a compact SUV which was perfect for 4 adults. Navigation was pretty easy if you have a basic map or Google maps, struggled a bit to find fuel to top the tank back up but we found a station in Vegas close to the rental location and finding the parking garage on return was a but of guesswork so maybe a map from the rental company would help here. Staff were friendly and efficient.
I returned the car at this Hertz located in The Cosmopolitan hotel. I found where to park the car only by searching what people said online there are no signs nor any information on Hert's website. Finding the Hertz desk in order to return the keys was a 40 minutes "adventure" due to no signs in the hotel. The guy at the front desk wasn't too helpful with billing complaints I had. Tips: Car parking is at the lowest level of the underground parking lot look for the yellow hertz signs near the elevators at that level. The Hertz Desk is located at ground level near in a small niche near the main door from the strip. Enter the door, turn right and look for the niche you'd see the Hertz sign only after entering the niche.
Terrible experience. The agent who took the reservation did fine, but the agent who issued the car said the fuel was pre-paid. The car, however, had only 1/4 tank of gas. I did not discovery the deficiency until I was in the desert -- 50 miles away from a gas station. Fortunately, the car had enough gas to make it. I put a full tank of gas in the car, and brought it back to Hertz at the Vegas airport location. There, the agent had a real attitude when I told her about my problem -- she tried to blame me for the gas shortfall. As it turned out the fuel was not pre-paid as the Cosmo location agent had said. In the end, Hertz got the car back with half a tank more fuel than when I started. Nothing about this rental went right.
Rented a car from Hertz Paris for one day. Pickup delayed 1/2 hour bc not ready. Returned 11 hours later more than on time in good condition with 1/2 tank of gas. Got charged $90 above rental cost after the fact for no apparent reason. BUYER BEWARE! Do not rent here!
Returned a car there. Overall quick and painless. Follow self-parking and keep left entering parking. You need to walk thru the shoppes and casino to get to the lobby and Hertz desk of course, because Vegas...
