They make custom cupcakes, but what they don't tell you is it's not you who actually gets to customize them.
It was almost a year ago when I ordered a cake for my daughter, gave the woman a description, called her back to double-check the pickup details and she had designed something that was nothing like what I asked.
When I asked her who she was customizing the cake for, me or her, she cited "artistic integrity" as the reason she wouldn't make what I wanted.
When I told her I didn't want it anymore, some rude, aggressive guy called me over and over while I was at work and when I finally answered, he told me they were taking half the deposit because they didn't make me anything.
When I checked my credit card bill, it turned out he lied they took the whole deposit.
When I tried to argue with him he yelled "have a nice life" into the phone and hung up.
These people are unhinged. Avoid.

My wife went here because she has an allergy and we figured that a specialty store like this would be helpful and know what's in their product. When she got there she approached the counter staff and asked if she could see the ingredients list so she could make some informed selections. We have been to other cupcake specialty stores in Milton and they have a whole binder of ingredients just for this purpose.
The counter person went in the back to get someone else (whom I assume is the female owner of the establishment, based on other's reviews here). This woman was rude and condescending to my wife which greatly upset her. The owner was apparently quite put out that anyone would even inquire about allergies/ingedients. She even went so far as to say "other people haven't had a problem" Well, based on what reviews are here on Google I'd say that's because no one is consuming these cupcakes. My wife said she has never had such a terrible customer service experience. I wonder how this place stays in business.

My colleagues and I placed a substantial order from Hey Cupcake for an event, hoping to have a nice treat to share with our co-workers. After a lengthy phone call with the owner (during which she repeatedly commented on our poor selection of cupcake flavours), we placed our order and put down a sizable deposit with her store.
One week later, the day before our event, we received a curt and condescending email from the store informing us that they would be unable to complete our order at all. We were most distressed by the owner's careless attitude and late notice, and by her refusal to provide us a full refund! As a local businessperson I am a firm believer that the customer is always right, but it seems as though at Hey Cupcake, the customer is ALWAYS WRONG!
I cannot stress enough the lack of professionalism and disrespect toward paying customers demonstrated by this bakery team, and would undoubtedly consider them one of the biggest disappointments in the London food scene.

I have never had a worse cupcake experience. The woman that works there is satan incarnate. I have never had worse customer service and there cupcakes taste like they only hire the blind to bake them

I am pretty sure they gave me several days old cupcakes for a large order of 150 cupcakes. They were stale and the frosting was crusty. I expected fresh cupcakes for such a large order, rather than leftovers. I will not be returning.
