Higher Pursuits

The best kayak experience I have ever had all over the country. The owners run a well organized operation. Great quality kayaks, they even offered waterproof boxes if needed. There is changing rooms that are clean and cleanest portable bathroom that I have ever seen ( you can definitely tell this place is run by people who love what they do and take pride in their business ). Will definitely use them again.

I made a reservation 25 days before the trip for our group of four. One week before the trip I was called and told they booked a school field trip that day and would not rent me a canoe. The only recourse was to change the date of the reservation. It was too late for most in my group to request a different day off from work. The main reason i booked so early was so people could request a day off work. Nothing but disappointment after making the mistake of booking with this outfitter. Never again will i attempt to offer my business.

This place is great! We enjoyed a perfect kayak trip from beginning to end. So much better than any of the places on the Harpeth, it's well worth the extra drive. Extremely clean facilities & equipment. Very comfortable kayaks. Easy in, easy out. Everyone is INCREDIBLY nice, patient, accommodating and helpful. They really go above and beyond. I really can't say enough great things about Higher Pursuits. Thank you for the best river experience we've ever had. We will be returning again and again.

This rental company is absolutely by far the best place I have ever been to. Best customer service. Extremely patient with my "Julie" group. Very accommodating. It was my first time at the duck river. Way better than any of those places on the Harpeth. Their kayaks are in excellent condition and they have so many to choose from. We didn't have to wait forever to be picked up like other places. They were there literally within 2 minutes after we took out. I wish I could stumble upon people as friendly as them everyday. Thank you so much for an amazing day!!!!! And you don't have to tip. They don't even ask or suggest it like most places do. But make sure you take care of the people who get you in and out. They honestly deserve it. Shout out to Emily and Shelby!
