Previously known as Preschool Prep, the history of this child care center dates back to the early 1970's. Lisa Haming Heck, became the owner/director in 1999, renaming the center the Highlands Educational Center for Kids. We are focused on keeping class sizes small so that children receive plenty of teacher attention as well as social interaction with peers. Lisa Heck has her degree in early childhood education with over 30 years experience and maintains hands-on involvement in the classroom. Teachers undergo yearly training in child development courses and are certified in first aid and CPR.
Child care is available from 6:30AM until 5:30PM Monday through Friday. A structured program with creative monthly themes, low staff turnover, large outdoor playground and hot lunch served daily are highlights of the long list of features your kids will enjoy.
