Dr. Kostrov is wonderful. My wife and I have been seeing him for over 12 years. He has to be the best if not one of the best dentists in the area. I highly recommend him. The receptionists though need a bit more training in customer service skills. Some of them can be rude sometimes and they do not spend any time listening to your questions. When trying to reschedule an appointment I was told by one of them that it was my problem that I had to cancel since they were completely booked for the next 6 months, and only after I told her that I was calling to reschedule and not cancel my appointment. They need to be more professional.

7 years in DC and I've finally found a dentist I can trust. I love Comprehensive Dental--it reminds me of the small town dentistry I went to growing up. The doctors are very friendly. There's a real spirit of camaraderie. And most importantly this dentistry does not push unnecessary procedures or false cavity diagnoses on their patients! Really love this place.

Dr Kostrov is an excellent dentist - I’ve been going to his Penn Ave DC office for several years for everything from routine cleanings & evaluations to a recent replacement crown. He clearly explains options and each procedure. And I know the cost beforehand. Each visit or call/ text I found his staff to be responsive and efficient incl quickly and accurately handling insurance issues. I highly recommend this office.

My experience as a whole, from booking to walking out with a smile for the last few years, has been extremely Amazing. I've lived in DMV since 1990: I've rarely seen such a professional and quality service. Under Dr. Hochman and Dental hygienist Taylor's professional care my teeth has been GREAT. I could not ask for anything more.

I had a good experience I the office. however Melissa has a poor attitude and was condescending when speaking to me about my follow up appointment because she couldn’t take the time out to read my notes and gain some type of clarity.

Dr. Kostrov is the best there is! He is not only the wealth of knowledge, he is extremely kind with his staff and patients. One of the superpowers he has - that I have not met anywhere else - his very gentle way of working on your teeth without ever scratching you or catching you by surprise with unexpected movements or noises. He gently explains every step of his work to put your mind at ease. And I love educational bits and pieces he brings throughout the visit to the patients and his staff. I will never look for another dentist!

Absolute best dentist in the DC Metro area! Every experience I've had with them has been AMAZING! From the second you walk in, every member of her team is welcoming and knowledgable and the experience is outstanding every visit! I couldn't ask for a better dentist! Not only is she an expert at perfecting your smile and keeping your teeth healthy, she genuinely cares about her patients. I've done a fair amount of dental work over the last couple years and can't recommend them more! They changed every negative thought I ever had about dentists and created an environment that's so enjoyable and family like, it's hard to leave at the end of your appointment!

I am very happy that I found this clinic. I was referred to Dr Kostrov by one of my friends who has been very satisfied with him for a number of years. My first appointment was an initial consultation and it went very well. Michael was very pleasant, knowledgeable and thorough, he examined and proposed a great treatment plan. I treated cavities and did two crowns with him since then. Every time it was painless, great work, crowns fit perfect. Reasonable prices too. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who is in search of a great dentist in DC

I find dental work to be barely tolerable. It requires all of my self-control to allow somebody to poke around my mouth, drilling and sanding and doing whatever else dentists do in there. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that dentist visits fill me with dread. In the last year, I've seen Dr. Kostrov several times as I was receiving a series of procedures. He is the only dentist I've ever visited who actually seemed to care about my experience in his office and made an effort to make that experience pleasant. First of all, he's simply a really, really nice guy. His chatty and optimistic personality will put you at ease! His entire staff is friendly as well. As he was performing the procedures, he would update me on what he was doing, and in between updates he would make pleasant though obviously one-sided conversation. This kept my mind focused on what he was saying instead of the discomfort I was feeling. Dr. Kostrov is also trust-worthy. On my first visit, after x-rays and an exam, he outlined my treatment plan which covered all of the work I would have done over a series of months. He took quite a bit of time explaining to me why he recommended these treatments, using photos and x-ray images of my teeth to illustrate what he was describing. He also helped me prioritize treatments so that I could stay within my financial limits. I left feeling that I fully understood which treatments I needed and why, and that I could trust his assessment. If you have dentist anxiety like me, I highly recommend Dr. Kostrov!

Limited early hours. Don’t expect to park on the street. Parking lot next door is $14.50/hour. Have always greatly appreciated the wonderful care and expertise of the staff, and help of the admin team…. It’s just enough to cover the inconvenience of getting here!
