Came here couple of times, both teas and smoothies are very nice. Can't see why this place is less than 4 stars. Maybe it's improving over time!
I was introduced to this as a backup plan from someone that cooked for me. It's not like home cooked food I'll give you that. However it's a good place to eat. The food is not bad. I bought an order of chicken chow fung and fried rice. The chicken chow fun is good and I can separate that into four meals. Honestly I haven't tried the fried rice I will eat that in the morning. The people that work there quite friendly and explain as much as they can and they seem to try extra to make sure that you're happy with your food. I've seen that on every occasion. The verdict still out on the fried rice but chicken chow Fung I say go for it. It's some of the best that I've eaten that you buy at a restaurant.
Cheap and big serving. We like the House Crispy Noodles with Chicken.
The tea here is not great. Watery tasting. Do yourself a favor and go to Teaspresso or Tiger Sugar instead. I was surprised to see that they also serve Chinese food. I tried their minute chicken noodles and it was ok, but I've had better from Chinese restaurants.
I ordered the Chicken Choi Sum stir fry and my husband ordered the Salt and Pepper Pork Chops. Both plates were very flavorful. The Chicken Choi Sum had a good flavor and the vegetables were perfectly prepared. There was an abundance of sauce which is somewhat unusual. The one downfall of the plate was the fact that the chicken had fat on it. They probably use boneless skinless chicken thighs. I have never eaten a stir fry dish where I had to remove fat from the meat which was quite frustrating. My husband said that the pork chops was not tough. He enjoyed it. The food court is clean and has various seating options. Long tables, round tables, counter height tables as well as outdoor seating. The women's bathroom had 2 stalls out of order, of which one of them was the handicapped stall. There definitely was a wait for a stall.
HiTea Cafe is located at Lanai at the shopping mall area near Macy’s. I ordered Shrimp Chow Fun and it actually had about 10 shrimps! The chow fun was not too salty and made with rice noodle.
It was fresh and tasty. There are generous amount of sea food in the plate. I will go back when shopping at the Ala Moana next time.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Teas taste like they’re syrupy mixes, often with weird tastes. Haven’t tried all the flavors though. Workers are friendly and helpful enough though.
The food tasted awful. Got Chicken and broccoli and wanted to spit it out.Food: 1/5
The service was pretty decent and the food was meh, but I ordered a strawberry milk tea with boba, and I got a really weird pink water drink. The drink wasn't really good and I wouldn't classify it as a milk tea. Could be better.
