I had an 8:00 AM appointment for an oil change and inspection. At 10:00 car still not ready and hear them talking to another person that the guy who writes up the inspection stickers was not there yet. It would have been nice to hear the truth other than being told that it be just a few more minutes. I can't believe they are able to stay in business. I hired them to swap a engine in my truck was told it would be done within 3 days. Truck was not even touched, called me back after the 3 day period and said they could do it by the end of the week. Got a call the next day telling me that they can’t get to it till 4 weeks later. They “offered” to tow my truck anywhere I wanted for “free”… I had it towed to another shop and told them not to put the engine in the back. They did anyways and ruined my brand new hard wood floors in the back. I literally laid them down the day before they got the truck. The owner John said he won’t be paying for them. I will be taking them to court! DO NOT USE THIS MECHANIC!

I took my vehicle to them and this misdiagnosed it, after paying 2k for the "repairs" and my car back not even for two days it broke down again and I was told I needed a new engine. John told me that my car would be done within a couple days. After receiving the new engine and letting it sit there for a week he finally called me and told me to have my car towed to his shop and he would start working on it the next day. Long story short they had my car a week and a half before they even started on it. I told them I was moving to California for my military orders and he told me no problem it would be done by then. It wasn't. They told me to stop calling them so much because I was receiving no updates on my car, and that they would update me when they could. I still never received any updates unless I called. Finally it was done the day I left for California. But my car is not fixed. They did not screw in all the screws, it had broken hoses and some missing. This place is awful. We have put an additional 7k into fixing everything they broke and it is still not fixed....AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I wish I had the money to sue them but I've used it all on this car

John has lots of experience and was able to determine and repair the brakes. The dealership had the car for almost 2 weeks but couldn't. We didn't have confidence and had to rent a car before we went to Hi tech. And thanks to Amy in the office.

This is a great family owned auto shop, my in laws recommended them to me after they've been going for many years. They have had service through them from the old owners and new and the quality is always up to standards. After listening to them I took my nissan versa for an oxygen sensor repair and ended up having issues the following day that were completely unrelated. They towed my car back to them for free and tried to figure out the issue, turns out I had a bad catalytic converter as well and so they found me a GREAT DEAL on the part. Once replaced my car was still acting crazy and had to replace my fuel pump as well. Little John and John paid out of pocket the price for my fuel pump and only charged me labor because they felt bad they didn't know it from tbe start and it took longer than expected. I ended paying quite a few hundred dollars less than expected. Highly recommend hi tech to everyone! However avoid a car sales lot named Auto Pro Virginia LLC on VA Blvd close to 17th street. I bought my versa from them and it was supposed to be in perfect condition and new inspection but no it had a bad o2 sensor, bad catalytic converter and fuel pump. Car drove perfect for a day and a half before dying and having all these repairs. Do not buy a vehicle from them But do go to hi tech!!!
