Okay it’s in the city center of Times Square with an open seating area which is really nice. The shop is a small intimate space with modern decor with an electric kiosk. Convenient for self check out and self paid which is really effective. There is a long wait time for the cold tea which is unfortunate. But the teas tastes fine.
Ordered the Taro Milk Green Tea and was overall satisfied. It's definitely not the best out there since it's powdery/artificial tasting, but it's also not horrible either. It's very average, but still welcomed for a bubble tea dessert like Hells Kitchen!
Ho Ho Te has became my new favorite bubble tea spot in midtown Manhattan! The drinks is phenomenal, bubble is so good, oat milk options, and also the fries is a must try! The lady cashier is friendly! The place just won't disappoint you:
I used to come here many times before the owner changed. I usually order oolong tea latte or pink flush. But after the owner change, drinks are now without real fruit and very expensive. We ordered pink flush this time, which is supposed to be grapefruit, plum, and green tea. First of all, the drink does not contain any plum inside and doesn’t taste like plum as well. We saw they made the drink only by syrup. The artificial taste is really heavy. I recommend don’t come to this place.
Ho Ho Te is my favorite bubble tea spot, the bubble tea is not too sweet and does not taste artificial. You can also get soft serve ice cream in it as well!
Service was good but I cannot recommend the drinks or ice cream. Got the matcha and vanilla twist ice cream cone. This was extremely disappointing; extremely icey soft serve, no matcha taste. Boba float tasted like the ice cream and too many ice cubes covering the toppings. If you really want this, ask for no ice.
I like the easy ordering on screen. Got my drink fast and it was very good. I wish the menu was a little more varied.Food: 5/5
I'd give zero start if I could. Fruit tea is one of the worst I have had for years in NYC. Can't believe how bad it is. Compare to other stores that you got 1/3 - 1/4 cup of fruit, you only got floating debris at this store. Apparently they don't know that with the cut back of the ingredients, it'd tastes like water, and a bad one. I'm a hard core bubble tea drinker, I drink bubble tea daily and have been to tons of bubble tea stores in the city, I can't believe anyone would give this place a positive review.
The popcorn chicken was excellent, it tasted like something I would usually have in a Taiwanese night market. The drinks were good, not great.
Ho Ho Te is a popular and somewhat hidden gem for cheap eat in Hell's Kitchen area. It offers a good selection of tea, coffee, snacks. Their soft serves and signature drinks are popular.
