Food was good! Reasonably priced. Very accommodating. I wanted onions on my salad, they cut up a fresh onion for me. Biscuits were outstanding! My son wanted honey for his, they went to the bar and got it for him . While we were there 2 guys came in and said this was their last night and just HAD to come back!Food: 5/5
Visited this place on my last day in New Orleans for lunch. The long hallway leading into the restaurant was something I wasn’t expecting especially someone sitting in front of the hallway handing you a paper menu asking if you are going into the restaurant, very much like a bouncer to a club Once you entered the restaurant, you would find a small dining area with maybe 5-6 tables. It’s self serve so you just need to order your food at the counter/window and pickup there too. The food were quite good and supposedly authentic I can’t really judge since this is my first time visiting the city. I ordered the gumbo and poboy sandwich with fried shrimps. They were pretty good and reasonably priced! You can tell this place mainly serves locals so it must be legit! The fountain drinks including iced tea with both sugar and sugarless options actual iced tea, not nestle one. Overall food was good, atmosphere was a bit lacking in my opinion.
Best damn fried chicken I’ve ever had!!! I did the dark meat friend chicken Thursday lunch special only $11- a thigh, drumstick, huge serving of authentic dirty rice and potato salad with a slice of French bread. So good! This place is a hole in the wall behind a bar, great spot for a quick lunch if you want authentic New Orleans fried chicken or poBoys. Service was super friendly too.
Hobnobbers is everything the reviews indicate that it is. We had breakfast and lunch out last day in NOLA. The food really did warm our insides. : Paul and Cheryl and their staff friendlyFood: 5/5
This cafe is hidden at the back of a bar. It kind of feels like going to a speakeasy as you enter a side door and walk down a long hall to a little room in the back. The prices are good and the food is delicious. It’s small and nothing fancy but don’t let that turn you away. We had the hash brown special. Their hash browns are skillet potatoes. The biscuits are ginormous and melt in your mouth. I ate everything on my plate. I will come here again.

Little hole in the wall that always exceeds our expectations. My husband had liver and onions with grits for breakfast and it was fantastic. The biscuits were to die for. You know a place is good when nothing but locals come in. Def give them a try!Food: 5/5
Great hardy homemade breakfast. I didn’t think I liked grits and they were awesome!! Pancakes are huge. Biscuits are homemade delicious. Not fancy place - order and take your food to table. Don’t miss this local place it’s awesome.Food: 5/5
My husband and I had such a wonderful experience. I had read the good reviews about the restaurant and wanted to try it out. When my husband and I were outside of the bar and restaurant, one of the cooks was outside and invited us in. He said the kitchen just closed, but if we wanted something simple they would cook it up. We both got the shrimp po boy with a cup of gumbo. We also got the bread pudding. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It it well worth the stop. I’m only upset we didn’t discover it sooner in our trip so we could’ve kept going back.
We hosted our Farewell Breakfast here almost ten years ago after our wedding and the food was reasonably priced and delicious. We were so excited to return to NOLA and to dine here again AND the food is still delicious and reasonably priced. This place is a gem and we will continue to eat here whenever we are in town. The owner is really nice too! I love supporting locally owned restaurants and I’m so happy this restaurant survived Covid.
