This was one of the few I thought decent places to stay in the area while working in the area. I was sooooooo wrong. The elevator doesn't work, you have to walk the entire length of the hotel to get to a working elevator and then that will scare the hell out of you. The rooms smell musty and the window doesn't open. No All night coffee available. We leave for work at 5am, at least coffee would be nice. Overall, it's a place to stay while out of town. Holiday Inn should do better. Rooms: Smell musty
The hotel staff were wonderful. The hotel may be a bit older? It was clean and comfortable. I was apprehensive after reading some reviews but was pleasantly surprised to find no issues.Rooms: 5/5
I was surprised how run down the outside of the hotel appeared. Check in was easy. Elevator out of service so I mainly used the stairs, as the backup elevator was far and stunk. Ice machine on second floor broken. Room was ok - but the bathroom and specifically the shower curtain smelled musty. Furniture has signs of wear. Bed was comfy. Likely won’t stay again for future trips to the area.
I was hoping this location would be an ideal place to stay while visiting my daughter in college, but I was wrong. Two room changes in under an hour due to no hot water in the rooms, and rowdy adult neighbors trying to open the joining door. My young son was terrified all night. We hardly slept the two nights we were there due extremely loud and disruptive guests. The hotel rooms were not cleaned well, smelled moldy, and the bathrooms could definitely use better cleaning. I had a good experience with the staff but I’m surprised Holiday Inn would keep this operation running. The constant smell of marijuana at every turn was also disgusting.
I was going to provide them feedback when I checked out of the hotel, but the lady was very short and did not ask how my stay was. She simply asked for my room numbers and sent me off. This is one of the worst IHG hotels not only in Milwaukee but also IHG everywhere I have travelled. We had two rooms, one had empty bottles of soap, no body wash. Other room the outlets and coffee maker were broken. The coffee maker actually smoked and all the water leaked out of the bottom. The main elevator was broken and so everyone is using a small rear elevator which smelled bad and was very dirty. All ice machines were out of order. They are simply turning over room as fast as possible and making as much money as they can, but they do not care about guest experience. And I already know they will just reply with an apology so I have already contacted corporate and IHG.
A/C unit leaks all over carpet. Makes the floor soaking wet. Room constantly smells like mildew. Elevator broken. Ice machine broken. Hot water in the shower is hit or miss. Same issue across multiple rooms myself and my collages stayed in.Rooms: 1/5
I've been staying at the Riverfront Holiday Inn for several months and I enjoy the good service and friendly staff. Angela, the hotel manager is always accommodating and helpful if I ever have concerns. I like hotel living and this is the place to be for business or recreation. The view of the Milwaukee River is superb and I would recommend this hotel for anyone planning a visit to Milwaukee. Photo included was taken by me. I'm adding an additional photo and loving my stay at the Holiday Inn at Milwaukee Riverfront. Rooms: Half of the hotel rooms overlook the river.
We were relocating out of town and needed a place to stay for 3 nights with 2 children. A place with a pool was the attraction. The staff was friendly but they were unattentive could not get fresh towels, Kleenex, hand soap before 1p.. Elevator was out order, Ice machine was out of order. The room smelled stale, and once housekeeping came, the bathroom was even more disgusting, as there were lingering black hairs from one of the staff members on the floor we are all blondes. Perhaps to crash for one night after partying, this is fine, but I would NOT recommend for a family.
This hotel is pretty run down for a Holiday Inn. Our room was near the main elevator which was broken, meaning we had to walk all the way to the end of the building, up the stairs, and back to the other end of the building where our room was. Looking back at recent reviews, the main elevator has been broken for at least 2 months. The ice machine was also broken. This hotel is much older than it looks in the pictures. Breakfast is not included, which I found odd for a Holiday Inn. Our room was decently clean, though the bathroom was tiny. I would not recommend staying at this location.
Not the worst hotel, I've ever stayed at, but definetly disappointing for a Holiday Inn. The hotel has a moldy smell and the hallways often reek of weed. At 6 am on a Thursday people are yelling in the hallway about 24 hour sexual acts being offered. The bag of dog feces sitting on the ice machine was a welcoming touch. The front desk seems to run out of towels quite a bit and the water in the workout room has been empty for days. The hotel had a lobby bar, but it wasnt staffed for some reason. One positive was thay the front desk workers have been very cordial.
