I've lived in the complex for almost 10 years taking care of my parents. After my mom died in 2020 the manager made us move to another apartment during the worst time of our lives. After my dad died this last Thanksgiving 2022 the same manager evicted me with no warning and place to go. She screams at the tenants on the phone so I will only email her. She actually called one of the tenants incompetent because she was blind. Now I'm on the street because of this place Don't move here!!!!
The real review is 1.5 This is not a pleasant place at all. You will have to fix anything wrong yourself. If Monica still works there, she is a very unpleasant person to deal with. 7/11 across the street attracts homeless people. Too many section 8 ppl there too. Junkies and dealers all through out. Do not move here.
Disappointing experience so far considering the price for what you get. Apartment wasn’t cleaned when I moved in, someone left a bunch of stuff, it smelled bad, the garbage disposal, lights, and drawers were broken and there was no walkthrough by the property manager before moving in. Those things got fixed pretty quickly. Some dryers don’t work and there’s no lint catchers in half of the dryers. You are forced to pay for cable but there is only one adapter in the apartment which has to be used for wifi. AC barely reaches the bedroom unless you have 2 box fans redirecting the air flow. No microwave or counter space so you have to make a solution for that. Kind of a bummer so far overall.
we have loved our time here at holladay on ninth and hope we can continue living here for a long time. monica is incredibly kind and welcoming, not to mention accommodating. muhammad is very friendly as well and takes amazing care of the facilities and grounds. the units are beautiful, and the area is unbeatable. rent is a steal. i can’t recommend this place highly enough. no complaints whatsoever. even the smallest issues are met with immediate response and resolve. if you’re thinking about moving here- do!!
I've been here for about 4 months now and I really love it. The neighborhood is very quiet and the neighbors are pretty friendly. Maintenance is always on top of our requests and is always on top of shoveling snow and salting the sidewalks. Monica has been very helpful with everything and responds very quickly since its really the first time we've lived in a complex. There's always parking and having a dog is great because theres doggy bags available all over the complex. It is an older apartment building so the walls are very thin and the hallways smell like cigarettes and unfortunately there are some people who don't pick up after their dogs. But the apartments are recently renovated and I'm always getting compliments on how nice my apartment looks. I moved in on a recommendation and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a low cost place close to salt lake.
I first moved here in 2005. It was the very first one bedroom apartment I had ever had. I moved away shortly after, and luckily in 2020 the very same apartment I had became available. I am so grateful to be living here again. The refurbished apartments are beautiful. The apartment manager is amazing.
I just moved into these apartments a month ago! They are newly renovated, cute apartments with no carpet, which I love! Monica is the manager and she is extremely accomodating! She’s always quick to respond to my emails. The pricing is amazing for the quality of apartment, too! So far, I’m loving my time here! Updated my review to a 3 star: although the rent is affordable and I love the location, they allow smoking here which is coming through the piping to our apartment and the smell has become unmanageable. Even though we were told it would be taken care of if it’s become a problem, there has been no follow through. The tenants here are obnoxious. Yelling at each other at 3 in the morning and getting into fist fights in the parking lot. Unless you can handle being woken up at odd hours and scary/aggressive neighbors, don’t live here.
You will NOT feel welcomed. I was looking forward to moving out the moment I met the manager, Monica. Monica is not kind. Even if you pay rent on time and are kind to her, she will yell at you and belittle you. She does not make you feel welcomed. She will make you feel dumb about everything you do. She has made me cry several times. She will not make you feel safe living here.
I just moved here from Florida and I was a little skeptical at first due to previous comments but upon arriving to the property, I was quite pleased with all the renovations. They look brand new and the neighborhood is very quiet. I haven't had any real issues yet, except my dishwasher was not working when I first moved in but Mohammed maintenance took care of the situation in a very timely manner, plus he is my dog’s best friend now lol. Overall a great place to live.
There were cockroaches when we first moved in because the person below us was a hoarder. Took management a very long time to get it worked out and finally get rid of them. However, they did give us a giftcard and $100 off rent one month because of the pest issue. Apartments are okay, but our bathroom was pretty gross when we moved in- stains and cracks, and the tub glaze was peeling off a TON. Your security deposit will likely be used up, even when you leave the place better than you found it. Read the lease carefully, as it seems they put things in there to confuse you. Management can be frustrating to work with. Things were often miscommunicated, causing us grief. They force you to pay for basic cable even if you don't want it, and you have to go rent your own cable box. So you are paying for something you can't even use unless you pay an extra monthly fee to the cable company to get the box. Location is okay, but these apartment complexes and many of the neighbors felt sketchy. Pool was hardly ever open and was freezing.
