It isn't chance that home cut donuts has been open for 50 years. Their selection rivals what you would find at any other Donut Shop but the quality is certainly on another level. When donuts are being prepared it is always through a glass window to your left. You'll oftentimes see the bakers kneading fresh dough for a new batch. There are also a lot of unique flavors and types of donuts such as the cherry cake donut or the honey glazed donut. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely with a very quaint antique diner vibe thanks to a sit down counter you can eat. The atmosphere felt very local in the sense that everyone seemed to know each other, and even if you didn't, you were welcomed as though you did. Home Cut donuts offers a couple of things besides donuts such as coffee and other beverages. I cannot recommend any place for donuts more than I can Home Cut Donuts.

These donuts are incredible. Not that over priced fancy “designer” donuts you’d find say in Chicago. They’re classic and old fashioned and delicious. You can even watch them being hand made from the counter. Always open, friendly staff, and great coffee. A Joliet staple.

I was visiting a family friend when they took me here. I must say they were the most delicious donuts and coffee I have had. The homey atmosphere and welcoming faces made everything even better. I hope to be back soon.

Great coffee. Great donuts. Fun to watch them bake them on site while your in there.

We make a monthly trip and it has never been a disappointment. I almost don't want to post so we can go without it being a crowd.
