Old Fashioned Donuts

Best donuts in Chicago. The name is true it's like going through a time warp when you step inside. Prices and process are from decades ago when donuts were done right. Freshly made throughout the day, the yeast risen donuts will dissolve in your mouth like a cloud if one could hug.

By far one of the best donut shops I have ever been to! The glazed donuts were absolutely delicious, as soon as you bite into it it just melts in your mouth. The Carmel Donuts are pretty tasty, but are very sweet as they lay tons of caramel on top of the donut. They also had pineapple coconut Donuts which were delicious as well, but taste more coconut than pineapple. Th It is about $10 and some change for a dozen donuts and if you come by 9 a.m. on the weekdays they will have certain pastries fresh I heard that is the best way to eat them. I got my mine toward the afternoon but they were still delicious. This place was packed when I got there and I am so glad that someone recommended this place to me. The service was very nice. This place could definitely use an update as far as the decor. You will not be disappointed however by the quality of the donuts that you buy. I will be back again to try other things and they also sell food.

The best period. Donuts made the old fashion way. Their apple fritters have to be tried to believe. The standard which all others are measured but have come up lacking.

Pulled up to this establishment at 5:52. Got out of my truck and proceeded to the door (because I thought they opened at 5). A young man held 6 fingers up to let me know that they didn't open till 6. Fine, I get wanting your last few minutes of peace before your shift starts. So I go back to my truck to wait out the remainder of the time. Get back out of my truck at 6 on the dot, pushed the door and it's still locked. The young man is on his cell phone laughing and talking, the older man is walking back and forth to the back, a young lady is standing behind the register and I, THE CUSTOMER, am standing outstide waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence. They never did and at 6:03 I decided to walk away and NEVER patronize that business again. WE HAVE TO DO BETTER BLACK PEOPLE.

This place is a excellent wonderful place I've been going to old fashioned donuts since I was a little girl and I am 60 years Young now so now you know and they haven't changed a bit God is still good what you say God has to do with it but that's how good it is hello somebody
